  12. I agree with alan,if people dont send to the first race that means all the unexperienced birds are going to the 2nd or 3rd race.Racing pigeons are there to race not to sit and look at in the loft,if you are unsure about sending to the first race just send a few to be sure.
  13. Snowy what do you mean 2nd or 3rd season, you will be in the results before then mate as you seem 100% dedicated and you have some top birds, your in the rite place here for all the help you need,my aim in my first season was a 6th place and i shocked myself with my results, you will do ok if you keep at it. good luck for your first season
  14. 114 views to this topic and only 2 replys ?. i treat for canker cocci and worms before paring and before racing starts, when racing starts i will visit my vet every month to have the birds checked,if they have something then they will be treat.

  16. I will send half my youngbirds to the first race but i will make sure they are up for the job ahead before they go.The season before last some of the members of my club were telling me not to send to the first race,i did send and won my first ever youngbird race i entered and i won the 2nd race ,and the 3rd race i was 2nd & 3rd,so it didnt do them that much harm finishing 2nd youngbird average my first ever season in a very strong club.
