Westy visit a vet and have the birds checked out.The vet will tell you if your birds are healthy or not.Luckly i live only 2 mins away from a top vet by the name of Kevin Winter and i get my birds checked every other month by him. Hi people got my ultrasonic pest controllers the other day,when advertised it said,each unit will cover 2.500 square feet UNOBSTRUCTED.Recomended use one unit for each room as the ultrasound does not travel through walls etc.So now i need one for every loft and at £26 each its gona cost me a bit.

Ben if i had 16 birds drop together before anyone else,i would clock them all.Why cheat yourself and your birds to let other birds get positions they didnt win.If the birds arnt good enough to get on the sheet then thats the way it goes i think.Im only a new starter myself and i want to get good positions because my birds were good enough,not because the best flyer in my club stopped clocking to let me have a position.Only my opinion.

Alan was thinking along the same lines myself,the question i ask is,if i start using the g10 pellets would i still need gem the pax.Anyone got a email for gem products or mr brian wall.

Hi speight because i want as much fat and protein pumped into the youngbirds as possible,mixing them in with the food the older birds ravish them eating them before anything else.I also swear by homoform when breeding,gem the pax on food three time a week also.

Yes i wear my mask when cleaning and catching the birds.

Hi speight I have been flying from an allotment for 2 seasons now,next season will be my 3rd season at my lofts.Yes i like it as there always someone around for a bit of a chat or a cuppa.There is the downsides having to trail along there everyday in all kinds of weather,but so does all the other members.The biggest problem is getting birds in the sky alone,that doesnt happen often as theres 45 members in my club 26 flying lofts for 2006 season.Sometimes there will be anything upto 1000 birds going round the lofts in the youngbird season.Our allotments are (about) quarter mile square if that. In our club alone there could be 1000 birds being sent,our federation sometimes 5000 plus birds.The sunderland premier federation im told has the highest federation birdage in all sections of the up north combine.

What about darkness paired.I let the youngbirds do as they wish,all boxes have a nest bowl,if they want to sit they can.I wont be doing this,this season trying something new.Youngbirds going on roundabout next season

ben i have set out mouse traps went back to the lofts the next day and the trap had vanished,this has happened a few times now.I catch a mouse almost every night.They just dont stop coming,im defo ordering one of the ultrasonic controllers this week..

My american bulldog charlie I rescued charlie he was badly treated and was very skinny when i got him.Hes fine now and loves my huge garden at the lofts.He also keep unwantd vistors away from the lofts and the birds dont mind him at all.
