imo a yb that enters my loft is always isolated and fed/watered until fit to leave, if possible I will always get it libbed near home so at least it has had to get home itself rather than be returned in a box from the stray centre... the yb I had libbed this morning will be fit to go racing next week end no problem... young birds that return from the stray centre are never a success in the race basket again the same year from my experiences!

know nothing about the GB youngsters, and it was wing stamped 01224 which is Aberdeen! so maybe you can explain further smarty pants!!!!

technology will always fail at some point, from the many 1000's systems used by UK fanciers and the 100,000's rings used every year I think there strike rate cant be bad! I always face the black chip downwards and have only found the odd one 'clogged' with $hit sometimes wont register, but hey ho that's life... even a brand new car or boiler still under warranty can fail at some point! I certainly wouldn't be trading it in or ripping it off the wall and replacing due to some minor fault!!!

agree there Robbie, but sometimes a result doesn't always show how a race really turns out and in some cases the many losses incurred!

past couple mornings have been heavy mist in Dundee and Fife, if continues through to week end you wont get an early lib and prob looking at more nearer 10-11am

good luck lads... wasn't a day for racing down here on Saturday, any fed that liberated got what they deserved imo!

in last night, no ets or rubber? surely someone looking for this old boy??

didn't have doos away myself... but did seem a real toughie, although I have witnessed worse gold cup races than this in the past... but no doubt all the critics will be queing for controllers job at the AGM then?? great pigeons always seem to get home regardless, and never fails to amaze me we see the same names and sometimes the same doos on the results, some fanciers get great returns some fanciers don't see a feather... maybe some fanciers should start looking at themselves and there doos before sending them, lets be honest how many were probably up for flying 500 miles plus on a hard day?? jmo of course...
