yip happens all the time in the Tenerife one loft races, never seen a convoy to date 'scattered to te four winds', maybe something to do with the sunshine though eh :smiling-sun: I don't race in this fed, so couldn't give a fook!
raptor attack wouldn't account for these horrendous losses from such a short race, must have been around 1000 pigeons libbed, a peregrine wouldn't scatter a convoy this size...
at midday temperatures will rise and at early afternoon be at there highest, early morning lib in cool weather conditions will give pigeons the best start and the chance to cross into the UK, hold them to Sunday now... another half a day in baskets won't matter now... midday lib becomes a lottery!
never in favour of a midday lib, forcing pigeons to spend the night out imo just isn't right... some will meet there fate due to this and never reach home, but if it's the only chance of a race so be it...
the small sections flying a handful of pigeons in SNFC should be combined with there closest section our sport is shrinking each season and therefore adjustments must be made accordingly to give good fanciers flying exceptional pigeons better recognition
Biggest problem these days causing young bird losses is major health issues and the raptor problem... Fanciers this year are losing young birds in great numbers every day of the week when they go training, nothing to do with wind turbines or atmospheric's or ABCD Factor or what ever crap its called...
