if we had open clocks--------we could buy life rings with chips sealed in them .

tony at my club sent for ring once cost more in postage than a new ring. but i suppose it is your property maybe you should be made to retrieve it--------and if you didnt -[suspention] hells bells --it would be nice to have loft number and chip number published so you could see which one of your birds hit the dust. as for the ring keep it. if we want to stop people stealing our rings we need to speak to chip manufacturers and unions and get injectable chips. or possibly order with loft number imbedded in chip so no one else can use it or alter loft number on ring.

now if you get someone to tweak the program you could use any hitag s chip as long as you dont get caught---the chip id is printed on basketing sheet if memory serves me right.

all ets rings are compatable---they are all hitags chips where the problem is---the clocks are programed useing updates to only accept rings starting with a certain prefix, unikon --c9 bricon c5 mega at the moment run an open clock and allow you to use all other manufacturers rings--but why would you theres are the cheapest
