At our club we are not having ETS the clocksetters and secretary are not willing to do it and only 1 member has it and rest are not going to get it. so i suppose we will be ets free !.

I can tell you Jamie Cox IS an RPRA member confirmed today.write to the regional sec with all the details.

If the person is an RPRA member and acts fraudulantly it will act it acted against a west country loft some 4 to 5 years ago and it stopped him via a suspension and gave him publicity he did not want . Please majorpet take this further and contact me direct if you want .

I would add see if Mr Cox is an RPRA member and take him to the region all this will again be published in the book for ALL to see . If he is not then Letters to both pigeon publications stating what happened and giving his details. A fancier down the my old stamping ground went to ground after this was done . What people who fraud do not want is national and local publicity so act now and act firmly.

To the gentleman defrauded by Mr Cox take this person to the small claims court you will win on the details given Cox will be proscuted and his name will be published in the press locally . He will also be listed on the bad credit reference group experian and details will go to his bank you will get say £200 but belive me its worth it .It will humiliate Cox locally and people locally will see him in a different light.

The problem is cats can worry birds to death and then birds stay out and will not trap because they do not feel safe in the loft . You need to sort this out asap.

Earlier this week we lost in the Cotswolds one of biggest characters in pigeons Bertie Harkness of Bourton on the Water . Bertie was a good allround man who would help anyone and got many strays home for people and was a damn good north road flyer to boot. Bertie will be missed i will miss my friday morning cuppas with him and his freindship as will the dwindling handful of flyers left around here RIP Bertie.

Andrew you have had birds from Des for 3 or 4 years how have you done with yours and are you racing on your own now as i thought you were going to university and cutting back ?,

I have done well with Des Coulters birds straight and X i have had them in the BICC,NfC and classic on hard days as has Keith Palmer from Swindon.Des is honest and straightforward and only has an 18ft loft he does not use antibiotics his record is second to none. Isuggest you go and meet Des and Pam and see for yourself.

Watch corn prices go up the wheat is £140/tonne and its not the best beans and peas will go up as well poor crops and yeilds are low.

I write this after watching ,reading and listening to fanciers why do so many want a "name" a"breed" and not performances or old english lines which perform. No ybs into Cornwall in race time birds on the day but late and only Duncan Harvey the Angwin family and 1 other timed old hens starting at 600yrds.The lads did the right thing and kept them at home with that wind .

I have good dogs Glen of Imaal Terriers but an electric fence does not go to sleep.

The cornish returns where very slow but with a NW wind no surpises then i do not think many realise what its like in a National down the leg.

In answer to both points to Master Cox do as my friend Dave Posey did with his 2 kittens take them into the loft with you every time you go in if they chase the bord a smack on the nose they soon learn.To the other chap an electric fence is the only real answer they do not sleep and cats soon learn
