I have just discovered my local station some 17mls away has closed now its 35 mls to the nearest working fulltime is making NFC flying impossible for us. So we are coming out it will just be the BICC now do people these days consider fulltime workers or do they think we are all retired or unemployed ?.

Two things Victor i said i knew Young Jim Not Old Jim and again which City 20 miles from Rufford did people rob Dick not once but THREE times . They seemed to lose thier famed humour when we knocked and got the birds back Dick was in his seventies at the time . Our 6ft frames and tone of voice seemed to make the birds come back as if by magic and for once they were lost for words they could not bully us we were not a 75 yr old man with a wife with altziemers. As for Victor well his picture says it all really and i will not lower myself or Dicks memory to his level of communication.

Davey i used to come from the Cotswolds every 2 weeks to do Dicks birds Myself im Stephen Holmes and Mick Tootle from Kirkby put the list together for the sale i fly Dicks and put them intoJonand Rose Wills ,Ian Benstead Des Coulters and Bill Ahernes with some success. A reply to Vic calling Dick Baldwin a so called flyers shows your ignorance of possibly one of the best flyers the NW has ever produced Check his results .Dick never had any pigeons of merit from Liverpool they came from Southport and Croston niether did Martlands ,Edmondson and the Dr i cannot speak for Hugh Cropper. Funnily enough though when Dicks pigeons were stolen on 3 occasionsin the 1980,sand90,s guess where we went to get them back Victor Its a city some 20miles away i will give you 3 guesses.

Thats funny Jimmy Warren was a singer on the club circuit not a docker i met young Jimmy a couple of times he lived in Banks. The Best channel flyers up your end where Dick Baldwin,Martland Bros,Hugh Cropper,Albert Barton,Rueben Edmondson and Dr Rigg not a scouser among them. The scousers tended to be sprinters and that hasnt changed.

Sir I suggest you purchase a cage trap via the countrymans weekly catch and then cull the fox that is completely legal. If not i can assure you charlie will be back and he will wipe you out . I am an ex gamekeeper and pro terrierman i know how charlie works your birds are a easy food source and they will be feeding cubs at present please take heed of what i have said charlie is a frenzy killer and can wipe you out on one visit.

I ended up with 8 MNFC birds all collected this evening by good caring fanciers one of them took 4 back for different people .They were a credit to the fancy and a refreshing change from just chuckit out or worse.

I have now 7 MNFC birds with me in Moreton in Marsh 6 yesterday and 1 this evening they are picking up well and the owners are coming for them in person. I can only speak for myself concerning BICC Alencon it was going to be a tough one look at what Bill Cowell forecast and the UK@French weather services forecast i was fortunate 4 out of 4 on the day set now with luck for BICC Pau but this was clearly forecast cold north winds,cloud and poor atmospherics with the same for sunday and monday but improving atmospherics clearing for tuesday. Well Bill right again on the weather and importantly atmospherics i had good returns but slow and split from Kingsdown just one latebred out 1st race for 9 of them . So Bill do people really look at the weather properly your views would be interesting.

Hello today will be a bit sticky i have sent to Kingsdown as a trainer and Alencon the inland birds are split up mind you the Wilts fed covers a large area and im the 2nd last drop 12mls on are own. Sir just wait a be patient its not all about 1400plus velocites.good luck
