Hello i think the reasons for the 400+ resignations were down to very poor management of the club by the committee thier are a certain group who think they know best look at the farce of the transporter bought on lend lease it will never be owned . A shocking decision that still is being kept secret the exact details are still not known and the dreadful treatment of the secretary by the same clique who bought the transporter was a disgrace to the club Sid deserves a hell of a lot better. Yes funnily enough most of the aforementioned group are members of UN social circles just look at the Lancs SC great fanciers like Jack Cropper, Martland Bros ,Albert Barton kept out because they were not from the right social group .Also the treatment of flyers like Dick Baldwin who were forced to resign for speaking thier minds and being honourable by the way Dick was asked to rejoin but he told them straight no.Thats why a great club is in such a way apart from John Wills their is precios little any honour left.

Top pigeons are always in short supply its the stockmanship thats going out the window many flyers do not know when thier birds are on form. If many of the flyers who go to the continent buying or are up the pub spent more time in thier own lofts getting to know thier own birds performances would improve. It would also help if fanciers would go off performance and forget paper does not fly and stop using drugs.

I think it is best to concentrate on your own birds and getting them right . i personally do not worry about the other flyers or how many they fly frankly its none of my buisness and i am to concerned in getting my own birds right.

Dear Peregrine i know a number of top falconers and when you mention Bali bells or wing stamps they laugh they simply do not work they are the experts on how raptors hunt and they cannot belive that the RSPB still peddle this tosh.I belive that both groups need to talk and both sides face a few facts. What the Rspb also will also not discuss is the illegal reintroduction of the Gos hawk when sparrowhawk eggs were taken and replaced with gos eggs i thought taking raptor eggs was illegal and to cap it off the persons involved has had no action taken against them. The goshawk predates on everything i know i have seen them in action they have taken barn owls near us. If you want to know how a raptor hunts ask a falconer.
