Well said that man!! We have to salute the performances of these great doos and leave all the other schite out of it. The efforts of the doos are all that is worth recording and maybe just maybe two of the doos who have performed so well tonight, flying up the road together to Scotland, competing in different clubs, turned to each other and said "what a bunch of winkers our owners are"!!

Sounds like Ypres has been a decent race especially for the lanarkshire lads. Hope the guys who maybe don't get a bird till tomorrow won't be to downhearted the same birds might do you proud next year

Every post (apart from yours) is about great performances by Scottish doos from two great clubs flying their doos from a long distance. Maybe in smaller numbers than we would like but if that is the beat contribution you can make to Scottish Long Distance Racing Pigeons maybe you should butt out and leave it to people who are genuine in their desire to prolong the sport of long distance pigeon racing into Scotland!
  7. Hi there Philip lad have you tried honey vapour inhalations for brain fug?
  8. Not sure about that Peggy lad, you have to take your hat off to all the birds especially to Billy and his sons doo down in lanarkshire, fantastic is all you could say if they have been pipped then they have been by even better doos, but you have to say the small convoys in "both" small Scottish National Clubs are not helping. But absolutely we should salute the fantastic performances that these brave brave doos put up.
  9. I agree with your general sentiments its the job no one wants. However I sometimes think the controllers forgot to pay their television licences this crap weather in Scotland and England has been forecast on the BBC for days now!!! Lets just hope they crossed the channel and are just shut out and down in England and havent got it wrong big time.

Maybe getting a bit confused here Old Yellow fanciers in Scotland have for along time before the split been members of the RPRA and some have also flown in the NFC.
  11. As I have said before "one trick ponies" but it is still a bloody good trick when it comes off!
  12. Oh come on don't be shy show us your T-Shirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Exactly!
  14. This will sound cruel but if it is feather rot your bird has it will sort it. Pluck the bird of all the feathers that have been "cropped" back beyond the good feathers. Then completely soak the bird in "virkon s" do it every day if the weather is good enough FOR A WEEK then once or twice a week. The feathers will soon grow in and this is the best time to do it if you have to as its quite warm.
  15. Sorry to hear that Alec lad must have been painful!!!!!!!!
  16. Good to know it was the birds welfare that was behind the decision congratulations once again Jock lad well done!
  17. Actually Alf I heard that after much bragging he dropped his gear and his good lady said "I right and you'll be telling me next you fly over 240 miles to Wakefield"!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Yes indeed great flying considering the winds they had to contend with, very well done. Odd day for a fed race mind you people at work etc!
  19. Because he is a dafty perhaps? Told you lot before never turn your back on a guy that wears a bow tie!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Tammy lad a doubt that english water is not dooing with you how could the RPRA transfer SHU rings ??????????????
  21. You don't need to be a member of either the shu or the rpra to transfer birds into your name, what is needed is a bit of commonsense not petty political point scoring. The main concern here should be the welfare of the birds, that is clearly not something that is bothering the shu too much and that is disappointing.
  22. I am a member and I am not asking them to act in such a stupid ignorant manner. When the people running the sport in Scotland act with such poor grace no wonder membership numbers are tumbling year on year. Plus remember by acting in such a manner the SHU sre effectively condemning the majority of nearly a hundred young pigeons to death and then next week they will pop up campaigning against sparrowhawks!
  23. This is a scandalous post you are in wrong sport mate,no doubt your one of those guys that go on about controling the number of hawks. What a joke!!
  24. Is he available does he still keep the doos?
  25. Come off it Gareth these guys tried to join the fed and were refused membership because they were outside the fed boundary. Many members of the fed think the LSC has misused its position to allow these fanciers to circumvent the fed rules and many are extremely unhappy with that. Surely you can see that is not good for the social circle.
