  1. A misty morning here and cold with a south east wind.
  2. Lovely sunny morning with a light south wind,during the night we got some really heavy rain.
  3. Normally only winter 12 pairs and a couple of spare birds incase of accidents,but at the moment I've got 20 pairs.I don't have stock just racer/breeders so will lend 4 pairs to friends after the moult then just keep 12 cocks and 18 hens,all will race next season.

  18. Just wondering what strains of pigeons handle the distance into Scotland the best? A few years ago while talking to a fancier from Larkhall,he said in his opinion most of the imports could not handle the last leg of the journey into Scotland due to the terrain and the temperature drop.He did say one of the exceptions was the Van-Hee,has this changed at all.

Sadawy,sorry can't answer in detail all your questions as my typing skills leave alot to be desired.Your pairing up plan seems ok and training can be done after you remove the second round of eggs.If the roundabout system suits you that is fine,you should have no problem racing for 10 weeks always remembering not to let the sexes see each other too much.Regarding feeding,a light mix early in the week will also help in maintaining form over 10 weeks.There are a few motivation tricks eg. two hens one cock etc. that may help and I'm sure the lads on Basics will have a few more idea's for you.atb.
