  1. Scattered heavy showers with a north west wind and feeling cooler today.
  2. Great photo's and two cracking pigeons.
  3. Cloudy, damp with a breezy west wind but mild, can't complain the last week or so has been great.
  4. Hi Roland, don't want to dwell on this as it is off topic but I don't think the point being made was they are holding their own, quite the opposite.atb.
  5. Sorry to drift off topic but would like to correct above post.I am also a member of this club and the member referred to is a good mate of mine and is indeed an excellent pigeonman (topping the Fed.twice this year) but I'm sure he would not agree with the post.I presume myself(3.5mls short drop) and another lad(4.5mls)are the ones referred to,having won 18-1st between us you would hardly say this is being beaten "over and over".See you at the next meeting Manny.atb.
  6. Hope the Blues win,but it could go either way,Everton are scoring very few goals, discounting the Man.Utd. game when they got 3,they have only managed 3 in 6 games.Liverpool need Torres back at his best and are a better team than their position suggests.
  7. Lovely morning again here light south east wind and a little misty.
  8. Manny, have you been on the cooking sherry?
  9. Some years ago after a flyaway I bought 12 yb's from Louella,if I said they where poor it would be a compliment.I would prefer a vets certificate to a cert. of origin, which were never forwarded anyway.Never again I'm afraid.
  10. Lovely morning clear blue sky and cool north wind.
  11. Used Poultry Spice this season on the feed after each race, the birds flew well on it,don't know if it accelerates the moult but I'm using it a couple of times a week now.
  12. Cloudy here with light spots of rain and a north west wind.
  13. A sorry state of affairs at Anfield, being an Evertonian I wish them everything they wish upon us
  14. Dark and very overcast morning with a cool north east wind.
  15. Only 5degs but clear sky and no wind looks like another lovely day.
  16. Just watched the 5th miner to be rescued a 19 yearold brilliant to see.
  17. Our club is like most others losing 1 or 2 members but the birdage staying approx. the same, this in our case is due to members now racing their hens, only a couple of seasons ago we didn't fill one hens basket but now are using 3 or 4.
  18. Very dull and overcast today with a north east wind, humidity 94%.
  19. Feeding V.L. Mutine plus until pairing and not too much.
  20. Lovely morning here, clear blue sky and light north east wind, only 8degs. at the moment but got up to 21degs. yesterday.
  21. I think the winning of averages means more in some areas than others. In the club I race in very few compete for them for several reasons,we start to early with old birds so miss the first couple of races, they want a break between old and youngbird racing so skip the early races and when the channel races come around some prefer specialist races and nationals to club races etc. So as we are down to 17 actual flying members very few compete for them.
  22. Nice morning here but cool north east wind.
  23. Cloudy but dry, with a brisk east wind and feeling cool.A bit like yesterday and that turned into a cracking day.
  24. Very overcast with 94% humidity and an east wind, not a very good start to the day.
  25. During the off season I treat my birds like my youngsters, out mid morning (weather permitting) and fed once a day, cleaned twice a day. Before I retired they only went out weekends and were fed evenings and cleaned before feeding, using lights.
