Lovely morning here,a bit cool but sunny and a very light east wind.Just watching a large sparrowhawk being mobbed by a flock of starlings.

Tommy,my pairing up is done the last week in January,and as the young birds will be darkened they will be mature enough to pair for young bird racing.I have in the past paired up in December and the youngsters don't need to be darkened but have to be kept them extra weeks.It's a matter of preference really but whatever the pairing up date is the birds should be fit and healthy and carrying no excess weight.

Had a good night thanks TOOSHY, there was a hypnotist on but even he couldn't get our sec. to buy any ale.A bit dodgy on the way home through the thick fog.atb.

Got our Fed.presentation tonight,its always a full house approx 140 members and guests.I will be there with club mate Manny(challenger lofts)and the rest of the club(Burtonwood hs).My old workmate Charlie McArdle and Terry Archbold will present the prizes so really looking forward to it.

Tommy an easy way to race your hens,have them in a section next to the cocks,exercise them twice a day out of their own section or train them daily back to their own section.When racing just let through to the cocks and on return let them trap to the cocks section,they will trap no bother as they have bred in that section before being separated.This works well for me.atb.

Me too, my loft is 16 years old and it was only built to allow my wife to have a greenhouse the g/h has gone but can't be bothered to change it now.

Clear blue sky,slight frost and very light south west wind,a lovely morning.

Everything seems ok except for a few bins blown around,dreaded getting up this morning was expecting the worse.

Wind eased a bit from last night,sunny but cool.

I was in the local Asda,where just before 11-00am a reading was made over the pa system and BigBen chimed the hour,the two minute silence was impeccably observed.
