  1. Take her to HOLLAND Spring Exchange pigeon show 1st week-end in March.

Getting the whole family involved is the secret.I always used training birds as trip out for the children, and going to the club took the wife and kids for drink at the pub too etc,Got to the stage were every one wanted me to send as it meant evening out. Children grown up but when visiting still like to take me to the club and stop to see the lads.

  9. I can`t agree about early bred youngsters better for (one loft races) Mine that I enter are Feb/March. hatched.Always there for final race.

  13. I never take mine more than ten miles. Will not risk being hit by hawks going further. I find it`s plenty far enough, my aim is to get them UP, OUT. AND HOME. as fast as possible so less risk of being hit,because once hit on the road confidence is shattered.
  14. I was driving to Dover to cross to France. had a few strays to toss down that part of the country. Well arrived early at the docks and to dark to throw birds out. So drove into the port and was asked by customs to open the boot up. (spot check). CUSTOMS never even mentioned the pigeons. While waiting for boat I lib.birds in semi darkness in-side port, which was well lit up with lights before boarding. Saved them going to FRANCE. :lol: So would think no problem.
  15. I have had the odd one that`s bullied and claimed boxes causing disruption and been glad when they have fallen by way-side Strike me no brains more trouble than they are worth end up going to longest race to prove them selves. :lol: If come up trumps are forgiven.

  17. I Lightly brush the floor of easy bed to the wall edges and then scrape out, sprinkling a few hand full of fresh bedding around edges on top of existing under perches. seems to work

  20. Lost my second one yesterday feeding two week old young. First hen went missing on eggs looked around fields and no sign.Thought maybe hit the wires. Found the one yesterday only feathers left strange as the rest of team was not spooked or nervous been hit when flying. Always watching the the birds and never seen a thing.
  21. S/HAWK SCATTERED y/birds on garden one smashed into wire fence had to put down cause of injurys.Come from no where as I sat watching them pick on lawn.( NIGHTMARE IN SHROPSHIRE.)

  24. I would try a drop of cider vinegar in the water to stop the old birds drinking so much and Homoform in the food my self.If I had a similar problem mate.
  25. OVERFLY MAY- BE SHOULD BE WORKED FROM A LOCAL BREAKING POINT.
