Transporters lib, pigeons 800 yds from my lofts in a truck-stop most days, just have to live with it.Those that get pulled away (Y.Bs.)and return are all the better for it.As for old birds I encourage them to follow the batches.
Never under stand how women find time for golf. Mine says she never stops tidying up around the place after me. No time to iron a shirt for me when I go for a pint mid day even  .
Never train birds once racing starts. And only 3/4 short ones before, lost to many training these days.Compete in Two clubs had 9 races so far won first 7 races and second in both this week.So don`t basket road train no more.
I use an oil called IRON-X-CELL on the corn used in RACEHORSE circles on horse feed for fatigue etc.Was told by an ex pigeon flier (House-hold name) who won N.F.C.2/3 Times Nantes and Pau.who now breeds racehorses. (Secrets out)
Happy birthday And have a good (April fools) day My eldest daughters birthday ALSO Have to take them all for a meal tonight and miss the FEDERATION PIGEON MOOT .
Had one hit a week ago, birds kept in now till young are moved as cold weather and no pleasure hanging around watching out for the killers in wintery conditions.
The middle aged, (semi retired) with grown families, financially secure and grandchildren visiting on week-ends, are the ones we should be encouraging to take interest in the sport.
The only thing I keep handy in the medicine box is (OLD HANDS)White Sesqui tablets. any thing under the weather I use a couple these they will do the trick.(If NOT YOU HAVE A PROBLEM.)
I use a clacks-ton horn to distract them if stalking the birds. The type on a aerosol can used at foot ball games etc.Far better than shouting clapping or screaming.Sounds like a ship coming into dock and a lot louder. Neighbours think I`am nuts but does distract them.
