birds love it, i think its a good tit bit, but dont allow them to eat as much as they like as they will eat it regularly like food, believe something to do with the aniseed flavouring

get all bugs of them, years ago was also used as a respiratory treatment if a pigeon had respiratory, the pigeon fancier would hold the birds head under water till it gasped for breath, then take its head back out. would do this for number of days then it would be gone. I wouldnt use this method but alot of the old school did. very good for the baths tho and lasts for ever 45p and is about a pinch used brillant stuff

wouldnt choose any strain just good winning pigeons, if it required me to go to many lofts to do so i would do it, however id also look at a good loft, with plenty of ventilation, free from droughts and dampness

lol with this weather of snow, an old saying was the more snow you have in your loft in the winter, the more wins you'll have in the racing. However what it was based on the old open fronted lofts, but with the inclusion of widowhood people was advised to close it all in, which now many widowhood flyers are now opening there lofts up, and just closing them over when other birds are out so there widowers cant see any other birds out.

personally dont think the pup could take the birds of the eggs, i new a very successful LNRC fancier who at one time lived next to a railway, the trains would pass daily the birds didnt even flutter an eyelid, in my personal opinion couldnt be the pup i maybe wrong.

same as Jimmy my views amongst strains, i look for good pigeons when bringing in pigeons, they must come from winning lines, as then you can make your own gene pool, a gene pool full of winners is alot better then a gene pool where the closest winners are G.Gran Sires and G.Gran dams, better to have winners throughout the pedigree, sire,dam,g.sire,g.dam, as you have much better chance in producing winners. As soon as a bird enters your loft like the belgians it should be your strain!!!

paratyphoid can be a good hidder many pigeons would be carrying and showing no symptoms at all

if you get the right pigeons of any strain there great for crossing
