wind what wind, in England we dont tend to train our birds in the winter, most of us dont even let them out till february
-
Ronnie Bigwood is in the thinking process of making another Cracked It, so watch this space
-
Lead to believe Geoff Kirkland feeds on the floor, I believe feeding on the floor creates great competition amongst the birds and in sense is a motivation, anotherb factor is they eat every grain placed before them and dont get time to pick and chose there favourite grains

Anyone know any free hosting, or easy to use programmes to build a website?

Really i thought Pigeon Basics Holding a Pigeon Moot at the show would have been a grand idea, would have been a good get together for the fanciers of the site, and also very informative, especially with some of the class fanciers we have on the site, However im sure Tony C mentioned this before and it got brushed to the side

talk about hungry the birds in the box going mad just like the bird his using
-
But then again have you seen the state of NHS hospitials lol the saying is true ive seen cleaner pigeon lofts ;D ;D ;D

I have the pedigrees to hand Paul, and it is spelt as Houbens, but like i said could be a pronounciation situation :-/
-
Ben Redfox is selling them on ebay on that link, but with no disrespect, if you have windows excel anyone can knock up a pedigree very easily
-
The thing is Vic alot of pigeons with the disease dont show any signs thats why its so hard to spot. Just out of interest, what Vaccination did you use, as i read you vaccinated imbetween the treatement of baytril and was wondering was this something that was suggested by the vaccination ect? The only reason i ask is because over the years ive vaccinated this isnot a practice i have used?

i had directs of Albert here, son of the Wringer, daughter of geeloger, son of sproetkop gust ect. The spelling was exactly the same as Houbens, maybe it was the pronounciation that could have been different. The grandparents of the wringer on the fathers side were both houbens. but like i said maybe was a pronounciation thing, maybe Derek pedley who was good friends with albert could suggest more. The marcellis also contained a strain called V.D Flaes

Jim Newton or Schyphos would be your man on this topic

I tend to agree with you roland however in this case i disagree, even according to the MET Office the predominate wind in england is from the Westerlie to South Westerlie direction, But if i am wrong i will apologies in advanced
-
I Have to agree that the U>N>C is the hotbed, they send very big birdage, but i wouldnt call there racing entirely testing, with the wind prodominately South Westerly, the wind is mainly up the birds jackseys all year round, so id go with the exception that if you was testing sprint strains or looking to bring in sprint pigeons the UNC is the place to go, but like i said they very rarely have the wind on the nose. But going back on topic, hens i think in most situations perform much better then the cocks, in the early racing when its cold, and also out perform the cocks when the distance increases however they find it very hard to beat a widowhood cock with the sun on his back.
-
Why treat if nothings wrong? Just my personal opinion if it aint broke why fix it.
-
Widowhood is simple really, however in my personal opinion the best way to understand widowhood or any system is going to a loft and being shown the ins and outs, if anywhere near london in winter months id be happy to show you
-
I agree dave allens book is second to none in learning about the widowhood system, if anything the only downfall of the book is the feeding method. But alot are forgetting this book was written 15yrs plus. Just look at the results in london Of Paul Elliot, in club and federation, racing a maxium of 7 Pigeons, but the results were exceptional. Just racing widowhood cocks mind you. There is lots of different followings of the widowhood system, some can be simple and others can be damn hard with alot of work. I personally believe the 91 days before the first race of Dave Allens to be a good book, and if your interested in racing hens you should contact the RP and purchase the racing Hens book. i wish you all the best

Knowing the Tasker Strain, I have to say these birds, are granchildren of some of Franks Top birds, especially the Blue Pokke and and Blue Pokke 19. Anyone who knows the birds will tell you the Blue Pokke is the sire of 'Belle Paula' otherwise known as the triple 111, who had over 8x1st club, 5x2nd club and 2x3rd club aswell as 1st RPRA award winner 0-250 miles, and was selected for the olympiad in ostnende. Forgot to add she was also 1st open NRCC old hens national, this is only a selection of results to mention and is not including another 15 positions that i can mention. Just ask Frank about the Blue Pokke 19 and Blue Pokke 20, and how there offsprings Perform, there results are second to none and you will find these lines run right through franks pigeons. Same goes for the New Belle Deseyn aswell as the Blue Belle Deseyn these two hens are creating a dynasty, not just for Frank himself but for fanciers across the globe. Also you cannot fail to mention La Bronze, a great pigeon which is also running through Franks blood right left and centre. There we have it granchildren of Franks best, the right bloodlines are defiantly there and look very typical of the Cassaert family, and knowing Frank he only sends out his absolute best he can, so these birds shouldnt dissappoint!

thought this was a topic about Jordan ;D
-
strange one, usually tend to treat way before pairing or while there on eggs, personallyn in my opinion would seperate them, and repair after the treatment has run its course
-
What a great gesture by Stuart and Raymond and my hat goes off to the pair of you, Personally my own nomination would have to be Jimmy White

Black slimey droppings, smelly, and if there sticky to me get them tested!
