  1. Never heard of him personally, what club does he race and do you have a list of results(birdage,Members sent and how many the man himself sent)?
  2. Who in Britain Has the Best Van Loons?
  3. sort out your bad habbits by giving them as much as they want, you wont win nothing with roofers, you will get this sorted in 3 days, 1st day i would keep them in with no feed, 2nd day i would let them out, they might not fly much but as soon as they land, call them in, the ones who trap in instantly will get fed a full ounce those who dont, will again recieve no feed, untill the following evening when they will trap like no tommorow! But always associate the bird entering the loft with a reward. They will then associate with quick and effective trapping, this method i myself will prefere applying it when the young birds are being trained.
  4. It is a recommended dose for 7-14 days, however for ybs sickness id only give it for 3 days, its alot less harsher then baytril, the source im afraid i couldnt tell you as i normally get mine from a batch when my friend orders his.
  5. floydd best bet in my opinion is 24 hours without food, and either electrolites or BILCO's powder Xerex(the best yb sickness treatment on the market for quick results and cheapness) and i would have either in the drinker for the next 72 hours, after 24 hours gradually increase them back onto food, or the other alternative if you want to go down the antibiotic route is giving them cosumix which would also clear any respiratory infections all the best
  6. Cracking pigeon, and in excellant health and a bargain buy, would recommend Dougie highly, i wouldnt hesitate in purchasing from him again,
  7. opening bid £60, and now off to work all the best Ryan Gadsdon
  8. Is a he a Mardon Van Reet Or A Mardon Nauwelart? or a Cross of Both? Any details of the pedigree could be very interested if has alot more Nauwelart in him

  12. I think i have to agree with what many have said, been a member for basics for many years, but when the site went down and redirected, for myself it shot itself in the foot, as normally upgrades are generally for the better but in my opinion the website has took a backseat,

  14. East London fog burnt off and starting to become very warm
  15. LoL if it is Jumbo it will be very funny racing, as its well thick, im just submising its fog as its an easterly wind here
  16. East London(Near Wanstead Flats) 7am, lovely clear skies, slightly cold, by 7.30 thick fog blew in
  17. myself personally if i was distance minded would race my youngsters natural, and give them as much was racing as their moult allowed
  18. just out of interest wouldnt it have been better to let them out for a fly first to burn off there energy, then basket and trained, as i like my birds to associate the basket with quick trapping and as soon as the basket is opened they have to race home and enter as quickly as possible
  19. pete its okay sending your birds full of corn, but its what the corn is, it can only be an easily digestiable mixture the mixture like i feed towards the end of the week would also have the same affect, its not that the birds are holding corn its what his feeding and how, or you could look at it another way, his sending his birds to spew up in the basket so the other members birds eat the corn and wont trap when the flaps are open ;D ;D ;D Out of interest do you find this man in your distance results?
  20. I only do this with young birds so they dont go on the run, but after a couple of tosses i stop this
  21. quiet interesting website what was more interesting is that the forecast for tomorow is a dead west wind, with friday the wind changing completely ENE, will be watching website carefully, all the best
  22. Looks good across most of england, however with an east north easterly wind,
  23. if theyd only started flying well, why would you as we say down here 'put the brush among them', i always thought young birds at first was always about building confidence, and an association with the fancier, and the loft, and not untill that is gained could such methods be used, id prefere my birds to trap like rockets then to be scared of entering the loft.
  24. reguarding putting nails, or carpet grippers its illegal unless you put a notice up disclaiming what you have
