    Chicken Feed

The corn was made by Garvo so equally good as Versa Laga and a lot better then any of the English brands

    Chicken Feed

JAM, there was no pellets in these corns the mixture I was looking out contained a lot of wheat, Barley At about roughly 20% each with I'd say 30% maize, a small percentage of oats and sunflower and buckwheat. Obviously more fatty seeds would need to be added at the end of the week but the constitution of the grains I personally felt would make a good base mixture

    Vita Pro

Syndicate lofts Peter Fox, or you can get it from Mike Ganus on vitaking website
  4. Has anyone looked at the compositions of these corns, or tried them. Was recently looking at some of the Garvo chicken feeds and seem a very good composition for sprint and young bird racing at half the price of pigeons corn also. Food for thought
  5. Nick got his of Billy Lynch, Billy would have been one of the first if not the first in the uk to have them, he had them well before louella and pallett even though about them ;-)
  6. I want my young birds to be as mature as possible come racing as I am looking to race the young birds on widowhood this year

    Verheye'S

Pure Verheyes are very hard to come by tony, many strains go back to verheyes. Willy Thas go back to Jeff Verheyes Oilpot, as will was the principle buyer at Jeffs entire clearence, however alot of Maurices birds came from Jeff. The closest things to the Verheyes that are still winning big today are the laffy daffys many fanciers have these up and down the country but predominately seem to do excellant in wales
  10. I know the guy who had them before Louella and Pallett, the birds done the business for the few people he gave them too, I believe i maybe wrong that now Nick Barren has these originals now, as i am sure Nick bought his last few pair.
  11. easy bed is great stuff although this year i am trying something new
  12. I really like the look of these Greenlands, would love a cock bird like this to have round the loft as a dropper
  13. why look for any where else then the man himself??
  14. lol on looking well well before my time lol
  15. Who's Perry lol
  16. Weird the coopers were pushers of the gem product Trikaknox product used to keep canker at bay
  17. I've also never had a problem with cocci but an observation I have made using the scope, the numbers rise after a canker treatment n vise versa, so hence found it much better to find a natural preventative such as the belgians do with cider vinegar
  18. Justask, don't you find if you was to treat for canker the cocci count rises and vice versa?
  19. This year is the first year I won't be going for say nine years, I am dying to go but with should br youngbirds being in the nest I cannot take the chance of water freezing
  20. I'm not sure of what the pigeon bred but when I held Gregg Brothers 'Bang On' at Frank Taskers I was in dreamland. There was many top breeders I handled at Franks but in my opinion 'Olympia' was the complete pigeon and absolutely mouthwatering she done the business on the road and breeding.
  21. Coey where are you based? In my opinion before buying or hiring any books I would do a few loft visits and find out first hand about our sport
  22. Have to say that's a cracking looking loft
  23. RIP The East London Legend Jimmy 'The Horse' Edgride, Jimmy was a great man who held many jobs such as an agent for Louis Massarella with his good friend Wally Pope, as well being the face of Billy Lings pigeon shop. Jimmy is also the only man to win the LNRC from Newark. Jimmy hasn't kept birds for a number of years now, but his knowledge of birds was second to none he tamed many wild birds. Rest in Peace "Boy" you'll always be remembered by me and many!
