I personally have never seen such strange directions for the doos on saturday! There wer birds coming directly from the west heading due east in batches upto 20. These could only have been nat doos completely off course! They wer havin it tough as the wind was very strong east most of the day doon here. But on the other hand the fanciers from dumfries should have dominated the section but didnt!!! First two birds wer here in Ecclefechan, the normal line????

So by the sounds of it the boys in the south waved some papers and everybody else voted this race point in. Seems a big prob that it wisnae east given the convoy a huge disadvantage being west and libbed in an east wind!!!!! When we are at eastbourne in a fortnight should we hold them if we get consistenet East winds???? Oh wait we have already done that!!! When we race East and get a west wind thats quite strong then wot then???? Lets just face facts, we got a stinker and thats that!!! I have 6/15 and gutted but thats pigeon racin and we should suck it up and move on! Very well done to all that timed good birds and all that have good returns but lets not start shoutin aboot race position as EVERYBODY who raced yesterday got a stiff race! John little won Ecclefechan by a yard 1134 J Dalgliesh was second in club 1133 My two good mates, Mike Currie and Kenny Thomson will be around the same but not confirmed, I am sure Mike(Yeboah) will be on later to sum it up. An uncle and three good mates in the shake! Well done to them all I am chuffed for them all, great doo men wae great attitudes as well as great doos.

Just back frae gretna clock station and it looks like a close finish but loads of birds tae come and lots wae no returns!

Best I know in Ecclefechan is John Little and J Dalgliesh both at 13.27. Ive got two but 14.25 the first! Rather scarce
