Think that band of rain will hang aboot most of the day round Solway and the borders but if they get a good start Sammy they will come thru it as it looks like light stuff rather than heavy showers but ye never know!

The first inland nat usually suits the widow fancier, like me, perfect Rab as the birds are widow all year then introdduced on basket day for the race and then left to create a suitable nest condition for wot you think is best. The distance is right, time on wing is right and the three weeks sittin at home gives you time to assess and/or road work yer birds! I think its ideal UNTIL THIS YIN

Maybe its just me but I have a fair idea wot pigeon is goin where in January. Have always sent my channel doos tae the first inland nat and the ones earmarked for the last water race and the yearlins that are up for it to the second! Bad race frae MArlborough buggered the plans this year but hey!!! thats pigeon racing.. The only thing that affected my birdage for the gold cup was poor returns frae a tough race! but it would have only increased my entry by 1. If members send and enjoy the inland nats then I have no probs wae that.

I have raced them for only two years and have had club and fed winners from four pairs! I like the young they produce but the older ones are at yearlin stage so will be better able to comment next year I hope! How long did you give them Andy?

No fussed either way Scotty but could the solway get tae the coast, financially,? We would be lookin for a lift! but that was the norm before the inland nats so suppose we would again? Do you think it encourages new fanciers/members tae compete?( no doon here obviously cos there aint none)

Sorry Jamie, my brain faded at critical point!!!! I retract and then agree 99% I am no too sure that the organisations in the west could get together on this! The Moffat hills seem tae be a major issue for the the lads above us and if their birds wer over here then the hills would be an obstacle but then again the drag of their numbers woould probs have the solway birds over the east side?

I agree with most of yer post mate but the Amal situation needs more clarification in my opinion! Why would the Solway be in the same Amal as the east feds? Are we not on two diffo sides of the country?
