Countless times have I sat in the shed on friday thinking'No a bad wee squad for the water' only to be sitting on a saturday night wondering where it all went wrong?? It happens to everybody and the best you can do is make sure your birds are fit and healthy because motivation,medication,breed etc are all toooo much of a variable, what works for somebody doesnt mean it will work for somebody else!! I had 10 candidates for the water this year and have 7 left. Some will go back to newbury before the water races but others will stay at home. I will be very fortunate if I still have 7 in two weeks time?
