  1. Possibly to do with the change of supplier depending when that was.
  2. Good morning all.
  3. What a super offer for the lucky recipient. I hope George enjoys his retirement even though it is sad to lose another fancier from the sport.
  4. Good morning all.
  5. Touchy enough to put me on tenderhooks when I started up Ricky. Where have you been or have I just been checking out the wrong things instead of concentrating on the enjoyment of pigeon racing. :)
  6. Does that mean we have to wait till all the old codgers on either side die off, then if there is still a pigeon racing fraternity left, it might happen? I am not a member of either "National", although at some future time I hope to become one, but as a "newbie" I think it is ridiculous that Scotland has two Nationals. I know pigeon men cannot agree on the colour of sh 1t, but I want to race against the best I possible can at Club, Federation and National level. I am nowhere near the stage of competing at any of these levels and am only able to gauge my progress against my previous year, but that doesn't deter me from hoping that one day I will be able to compete. When and if that day arrives, I want to compete against the best there is on my racecourse. Until then, I shall have to be satisfied with attempting to improve my personal best.
  7. Walter, that link shows a different form from the one I received, but the details asked are the same. I don't see why the one on the link would be unacceptable. Perhaps you have received a rogue form.
  8. Unless he is using last year's form, they look straightforward to me Walter. The one I have had sent from a Club Sec asks for Club, Sec's phone no, ring letters and year + a signature. Below that is a table with headings, Loft no, Loft Name, from, to and amount. No complications whatsoever.
  9. Well done Tony, I'll need to read this to learn how to work my T3. I do the ETS at the club, but manual clocks are a mystery to me.
  10. Very likely it did, but I would say that Stuart's pigeons always come from the East or North east given his geographical position, just as he stated. What they did prior to reaching that point nobody knows for sure, except through judgement and experience from being in a position to know where their best pigeons arrive from. I would think that the more easterly the race-point, the better it is for western fanciers irrespective of wind direction, under the premise that if the pigeons cross around Calais, then they are all travelling further than measured. Eastern race-points measure fairer for western lofts for this point only.
  11. Good morning all.
  12. I bow to superior knowledge, but early on I learned from Morris Bros that pigeons fly round hills etc. Where Stuart lives, on a direct race route from the south he is blocked by hills, so his pigeons would have to come from the East, if my earlier information was correct.
  13. Happy Anniversary.
  14. Happy birthday.
  15. Good morning all.
  16. Clear blue sky, calm, but a bit chilly here in East Ayrshire.
  17. All 4 seasons in the 1 hour here, but settling a little now.
  18. Happy birthday.

  20. Welcome to the site.
