    plastic crates

Roland did hear through the grapevine (so take with a pinch of salt) that all wooden crates will have to be varnished to fall in line with DEFRA. Wouldn't this have the same affect.

  4. I've read a few articles on the pros & cons of giving pigeons electrolytes after a race, some vets say its a waste of time and in fact you are doing more harm than good by administering them after a race. Their argument is that pigeons don't lose salts as they cant 'sweat'. By giving them electrolytes after the race you are overloading their body's with salts, doing the reverse of the desired affect your after.

  18. The way I do it is the babies are fed the same feed as their parents minus the small grains/seeds once a day. Once they are filling their crops I start to feed twice a day, pellets in the morning breeding mix in the afternoon.
