  3. I also met JW for the first time today and it was a pleasure to do so. It was also great to see again Wiley, Ms Wiley to be ;D, the lovely Speck & her better half Mark ;D, also not forgetting a cameo appearance by T_T this morning. I would have loved to give you all a bit more of my time but as you know I was kinda busy. The sale was a great success and I would like to thank along with my fellow organisers namely Bob Scott & Tony Williams all those that attended and/or put pigeons up. Anyone any ideas to who the scallywag was that got Frank Taskers pigeon? ;D ;D ;D

  10. There is no RPRA rule as far as I know saying that pigeons intended to be raced must be vaccinated however the RPRA do state this in a vaccination code of practice. What would be the consequences if a code of practice was broken ? Why has it never been made a rule ?
  11. Please pass on my best wishes Paul.

  16. A couple of things to consider. If the bad bacteria is more virulent than the good and the good gets wiped out and some of the bad remained that would then leave the bad to run amok unchallenged. The other is if it didn't eradicate the two completely and the bad is capable of multiplying quicker, again the bad could outweigh the good. In both cases the initial quick fix could be doing more damage than good in the long run. I'm not saying this is what happens.............but could it?

    Darkness Methods

lol Vic as if I would even attempt to show you how to suck eggs Re letting them wake up to natural daylight you say ''I personally think this is the right way to do it''. Have you ever darkened them of at set times before or always done it this way , if you've tried both ways what difference did you find?

    Darkness Methods

Only having had 2 seasons on the darkness I'm still learning myself. I put mine on darkness from 17:30-08:30. I take mine of it a tad earlier than yourself, I do this for 2 reasons, one) I raced my y/birds paired and have found by them sitting it slows down the wing moult. Two) just incase they should run into a health problem through racing which in turn could halt the wing moult for a week or 2. In both cases I'm trying to avoid them not finishing of the wing moult come the end of the year. I feed mine twice a day whilst on the dark, morning feed 50% pellets 25%depurative 25% race mix evening feed a high protein mix. Once they have finished moulting I lighten the feed right up.
