  2. I would say w/hood hens come into condition much earlier in the year than w/hood cocks. W/hood cocks take some beating when they’ve got the sun on their backs.

  6. As you stated in an earlier post re dual members, a poll would be flawed if one person has the ability to vote twice.
  7. When Richard set up this website he must have had a vision in mind where he wanted it to go. I feel he would be the only one to be able to judge which member has contributed the most towards that. I would think it apt if Richard chose.
  8. I agree OLDYELLOW, IB posts are always factual and without favour. Fantastic gesture Stuart.

  10. They're always there, just like the bars on blues and the cheques on chequers, they all become more defined when in good fettle.

  23. Many moons ago I used to work with an elderly Philippino guy that as a lad bred King pigeons, they were bred just for eating (funnily enough he’s name was Percy). He told me they kept them in small bamboo type cages to restrict their movement, this was done to keep the meat as tender as possible, they were culled at the squab stage.
  24. I think its how you look at breeding and what you believe in, if you believe in pairing best to best you'll more than likely go to the person that races. If you go for line breeding/ in breeding you'll search out the blood your after irrespective whether the loft races or not.
