  3. Cant say I've ever seen this stevie-b. What I'd be inclined to do is lock the hen in a hen box or nest box and put a plastic clip on ring on the opposite leg to the ring leg and tie a piece of string between the two, this should stop her lifting a foot to scratch it. Put TCP or a couple of drops of Iodine in her drinking water to try and stop it from becoming infected.

  16. There's good and bad in all strains. If I were you I'd buy on performances not strains. Look at buying late breds they'll be cheaper still. That would give you a summer to search out fanciers that race a small team and put up credible performances. I would also go on old bird perfomances alone. Best of luck

    Training

I treat my natural and w/h teams completely different. I've put my w/h team into the first race without any training at all. My natural team will get one at 10 miles then 5 or 6 at 40 miles, I dont start racing these untill the end of May so I pick and choose my days. Beware of east winds.
  18. Welcome
  19. When I wean my y/birds over I sieve out all the small grains/seeds from the mixture. I do this so what they eat has substance (hate squeakers running round wings open just picking up small seed)I do this for around 7 days then feed them a breeding mix with pellets and a little barley added.

  23. Catch the Pigeon Medal! Medal! Medal!
  24. Perhaps the hen dragged it of the nest, sometimes happens. I would slip a dummy egg in the nest alongside the good'un.
  25. The top pigeon fanciers I know say they wouldn’t keep pigeons if they never raced. Me, I love em to bits so I guess I'll never achieve the dizzy heights of being an ace. I can live with that
