I use Easibed which is a bedding for horses, never had any problems with it in fact I recommend its use.

Do same but use bottled water (no Chlorine)

Confidence for me plays a major role, knock this out of them and they’ll home and not race.

I thought pied had to come out somewhere in a pigeon be it a tic eye, toenail or an eyelash ;D or something. Be interesting to know if the pied gene has to show itself on the pigeon or not.

I would agree with and add its my belief if you have two or more pigeons up in the leading batch they'll pull out that bit quicker and race eachother home, often a loft in form will get two, three or more pigeons together.

To say the weather has been indifferent this year would be an understatement. The cold east winds had taken its toll especially on the yearlings raced in my club. Due to the fluctuating temperatures, cold east winds & lack of warm sunshine Its been one big battle to get condition on the pigeons and an even bigger one trying to keep it there which doesn’t help none. My losses have been light compared to others in my club but I’ve been careful what I send and to where with one eye permanently fixed on the weather. To date I’ve dropped 3 w/h cocks from 24 & 5 naturals from 22 which exceeds the amount I lost in the whole of racing last year and that’s with boxing clever.

I'm all for what you suggest Roland. What we need is a proposition made out with all the i's dotted and t's crossed so it don’t get bounced back at us. If there's anybody out there that could put together such a proposition I for one would put it to my club, If we all done same and got it passed at club/fed level the regions would be saturated with the self same proposition. The RPRA & other organisations would have to take note and hopefully act.
