How coefficients work.
A formula is used to give the birds a coefficient number, this is formulated by multiplying the position taken in the race by 1,000, this is then divided by the number of birds competing in the race.
Example; 3rd place in a race with 3978 birds competing is worked out as follows; 3 X 1,000 = 3,000 , divided by the birds in the race 3,978 = .754. This pigeon would have a coefficient of .754 for that one race. Each coefficient for each qualifying race is then added together to give an overall figure.
