Yep Never mind the bollocks ;D
  2. About 6 inches deep here. Ideally put the bath out for them 2-3 times a week, if it were detrimental to their health they wouldn't get in it, let them be the judge Micko.

Gilmour & Bowie - It doesn't get any better than this
  5. Perhaps but I wouldn't trust it. If it fails to register a pigeon sods law says It'll be your first one home.
  6. Best to use wood that is able to breath = less condensation = less moulds.
  7. I race my y/birds nesting in the easibed on the floor, move their nests nearer to eachother as the week goes on.
  8. Thanks andy
  9. 3p a day per member....... sign him up. We have 20 members in club and our secratary is paid £150 per year, if he'd ask for double/treble that he'd get it.
  10. Better to be aware than not of how unscrupulous some could be andy
  11. I don’t personally care whether the pads are inside the loft or out, whether the pigeon has to be confined or not but what does bother me is that us/we the fanciers have to police this system ourselves so please give us a set of rules that can be only interpreted one way.
  12. Cut the ring (between the lugs) of a pigeon put the ring on another pigeon, superglue the chip in place to cover the cut up ........... who's to know :X
  13. I would be interested in a sales list John if there's going to be one.
  14. Tony, the rule wasn't changed. The London Region asked for clarification on the rule as there was some confusion (the meaning of confines). Consequently an ad appeared in the Homing World stating the pigeon had to be inside the loft to be timed (or words to that effect). Lo and behold a few weeks later another ad appeared in the Homing World telling us all to disregard that ruling. No wonder confusion rules.
  15. What John has said I echo. I dont know Brian Baxter, as far as I know I've never raced against him. I know Mr Baxters name only by studying results in the Essex area for 20+ years and thats one name that is always up there. Hows the birds going to go John, sale or advertised?
  16. If in the RPRA I would hold tight insalling an ETS trap till after their AGM
  17. The answer could lay with the quality of the peas (have they wrinkled texture) or the ratio your adding or if you have squeakers in the nest or not.
  18. You could say there's three seasons, winter/resting is one breeding another and racing the other. No two seasons do you feed the same, by that I mean the same grains are fed but in different proportions. Winter you would feed a higher proportion of Barley, breeding a higher proportion of Tic Beans or peas, racing a higher proportion of maize. I would suggest you buy a good breeding mix as a base mix along with a bag of Tic beans a bag of Barley and a bag of Maize and add these to the base mix as the seasons dictate.
  19. I might join it then, them hackers might feel sorry for me and send me a food parcel or something ;D
  20. Same here Alf, wife and kids use it. Got me wondering, if from an unreliable source you could in fact by thinking your deleting them names your actually allowing them access, opening the door for them.
  21. Where did you get the tip of from OLDYELLOW cheers

    Shark Attack

Confirmed! Girl bitten by Tiger Shark on the New Zealand coastline.
  23. For value for money and reliability I would look for a STB. There's two types of STB the square case and the round case, go for the square case. Again there's two types of square case, electronic and wind up either will do. When buying a 2nd hand one ask for a clock run certificate for the current year, this will tell you its in perfect running order.
  24. andy, Jack asked me to pass this message onto you 'take what my grandad says with a pinch of salt, he knows sod all about pigeons' ;D
