    Gun Crime

dont know about shooting pigeons but they are very stricked about using guns,
  7. should any matter br brought up at a council meeting which is not on the agenda but which is according to the ruling of the chairman, competent business, delegates will have power to vote according to their discretion, this happens, and as far as nominations for president well it can still be discussed as to wether an organisation wants the present president voted in again or directed to vote for getting him out, but this is another subject, i think nominations for posts should be in before hand and not taken from the meeting, because as u say hoe can delegates be mandated, because the other way then its the delegates that are putting someone in office not the members, which in my view is wrong, i have delt with committees in social clubs etc and this is how it goes , but nowadays most times there is no opposission to posts
  8. so someone else got my strain of birds ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  9. all the best bart with ur application.
  10. i have been on about this for years but i think its more in the line i am sorry to say that the members have been in the past too lazy to go to meetings, but now they realise things are going wtong letting delegates do what they want, the members must run their organisations if they want all to go well.
  11. 100% again tammy, its the only way, as i say if delegates officials are doing what they want its the members to blame, and its the members who should put them there not the delegates. all the best.
  12. 100% tammy and its the correct and only way, delegates are messengers.
  13. dont quite get ur meaning????
  14. frank we all have fed delegates they are the ones u should be asking questions, and telling them to find out, they are the management committee, frank, they are ur reps with the shu, make them do their jobs and let u know what is going on, they go to the meetings and can ask any questions and get answers, i can asure u at my next fed council meeting i will be asking the shu delegates some questions, as i dont know about those new feds or anything, but i will find out from my delegates, this is the problem frank and always has been members let their delegates do what they want, start with ur club ask for a meeting before ur fed delegates go to a fed council meeting and go over the agenda and the members tell the delegates what they want and they must carry this out thats what u elect them to do, but its not done itsnot done in my fed, i even when i was president of the fife fed kept bringing this up but nobody was interested in having meetings, and this is the problem, until we get this sorted the delegates all become pally and do what they want ant let the officials do the same, let us the members tell them what we want, and as long as the one in the presidents job new how to do it it would not matter who he was as he wouldbe doing what he was told, sorry for the banter but i do get carried away sometimes, but i have had a lot to do with unions and committees etc during my life, they even wanted me to take over the shu presidents job when they were wanting the president out, which the succeeded but it was bad times and the one who took over resigned and thats when barlow took over, anyway all the best sorry for going on so much
  15. hard to say, u mention decent and right, i personally have never voted for myself, was never in the position where i had to as i never had anybody stand against me when i was president, probably because nobody else wanted the job, and this is the problem now adays in most organisations, how many have more than one person standing for their presidents job and have to vote, not many, the jobs are open to who wants them, so in a way its good to see people going against each other for places this way u are getting the one with the majority vote, and even without his own Mr Barlow had, ok just. getting to the nitty would i vote for myself, in that situation, i dont think i would have, as i would have wanted the majority without my own, its like the chairman getting a casting vote, when i was a branch official with a trade union we went to classes and one thing we were told was if u had the casting vote u should always vote status Q, as it has had a majority vote the new proposal has'nt if u went for the new proposal it really was going in on ur vote, but like the one in question it is quite legal to vote the other way, dont know if i have explained it so you know what i mean, hope u understand it,
  16. probably right frank but i think he was quite in order to do so, if he had'nt been a delegate then it could have been a different matter, but as a fed delegate then they are entitled to get their votes. if he had'nt voted who was in the chair? as he would have had the casting vote. as i believe he only got in by one vote, but as u know if an organisation has delegates they are there to vote, but as i see it frank instead of someone taking the job and not sure about it could be risky, so now we have vice presidents willing to step up lets get them ready for the job and if thats what the members want get them in. but frank we must get into getting the members to decide and the only way we can do that is having our members elect their deligates and also to mandate them on what they want ,its the only way. all we all want well most i think is for getting racing pigeons in piece, all the best, sorry the voting wa 14 for and 12 so the chairman would not have had the casting vote, but he would have still won,
  17. when voting is taking place for the president he stands down and is not the president during voting the vice president takes the chair, so the president who has just stood down and is a delegate yes i would say he can vote as a delegate for his organisation, if he didnt then that organisation would be losing a vote.
