i have a barren hen had her for a few years, i pair her up and put eggs under her, but she must be sitting the normal time 18-19 days to make sure she is on soft food.

not very good mate, if those turbines were out in the wild and killing wild birds something would be done about it. RSPB would'nt allow it.

its always best if possible to pair a yearling with an older bird, yearlings can be lazy feeders also keen to mate again before youngsters are ready to feed themself.

if its during the breeding season could be them rubbing on the nest bowl, are ur bowls ok, not chipped or anything, i used to get that around the front of the neck when i had a deep drinker, the flesh looks kleen enough so could be something to do with rubbing.
