I started a new job in August last year driving/delivery for Argos,I was up the a9 the first few months and stopped in lay-bys for my breaks ,was watching birds coming out of farms on my counting 20/50 roughly were racers (with rings) have been all over Stirlingshire and livingstone Bathgate Armadale areas and you would not believe the amount of birds with rings that I see every day,there was an old school in Armadale I counted over 40 in my half hour break, so all not birds are taken by Percy I think many go wild,only my own observations of the last few months

Going to let above bird off between greengairs/m8 at about 1.45 hope it gets home ok

Can any newmains fancier let the owner know of the birds where abouts,cheers

Found above bird in my garden this morning,just flown out will feed and water for a few days and liberate a little nearer home,unless the owner wishes to pick it up.

I'm on it mate had my heed in a bucket awe day but a think the wife let the water out, going to drink more and who knows, I can feel a killing coming on bad day at black rock as they say

Well Peter think they must have followed mine 6/16 from otter burn season over for me and maybe the doo,s who knows sick as a parrot but that's racing

I'm 16/17 from Kelso n/west fed have never seen so few birds crossing over on a race day,must have seen about 25 all day a group of 3 then all 1 +2 funny race day or maybe Percy's day who knows

2/3 seasons back I was for getting out of this great hobby of ours,breed 30 young birds never trained any of them,what I did do was let them out on a Saturday after the main race birds had all went over,great for me they would go with the birds into the west for 2 + hours ,next years racing as yearlings was a night mare a2b was a no go came home when they wanted,they never lasted long.

Started with 44 dropped 31 had 6 injured which happened in the early races,have started to train them with the young birds and intend to put them into the first couple of y/bird races,have not seen or heard a thing of the 31 lost birds
