  14. Normanton & District Fed racing at Littlehampton 200 plus miles,no liberation, has again they wait too long and then decide to not liberate, what gets me they never decide to get en up early.Need a better race controller i think.
  15. were breeding top class breeds i think theres a lot more to it than just pairing winner to winner,i tried this formula 12 years ago and started getting poor results, has soon has i went back to my old way of pairing the winners were born again.
  16. well (silverwings) ray,you have really srarted a good subject off now,and a well worth one at that.all i can say is that your definatly on the right track with your breeding, real class bud.
  17. ive had a cock bird come to win the first y/bird race this year,i lost him the 2nd race for 10 days then returned, could tell he had spent the 10 days out aswell,i got him back healthy again and sent him to the fourth race were he came 5th club 1st 2/bird club ( not darkness ).what i am saying is that they are individuals like stu wilcox says, there the ones that do come to win has yearlings and 2 yr olds, i had many like this in the oldred fox janssens years ago, usually if they won has youngsters they won has old birds again.
  18. to answer your question properly its the family tree of the pigeons background of all its ancestors and any valuable info that you may be looking for.Me i dont take into the account that its a fancy piece of paper but agree that it gets people paying a lot more for them.
  19. i dont disregard ets but i work all week to enjoy racing at the weekend not in the week, plus i like to be there to time them in,even so i wouldnt make clocking off has i dont get home till 7.40 at night on days,so ill just have to hope we get weekend races like we should do.

  21. me 2 i really do believe there is distance birds and sprint birds,u can handle speed birds and tell there fast birds, there like wedges in the hand, the distance birds are more boat shaped or apple bodied.
  22. top class hen
  23. good question, good answer, people do sell good pigeons off once they get what they need off them, especially small lofts,i have also let very top stock go that have bred winners due to not much room,a lot of people think fanciers are trying to pull wool over there eyes when selling stock saying they have bred this and that and most are honest fanciers who just havnt the room.
  24. normanton & district fec cancelled friday basketing, review saturday morning.
  25. ive had louella janssens, since 1988 1 cock breeding 21x1sts 1 hen breeding 11x1sts and 2 more breeding some some very good breeders.louella surely does buy the best and if they did breed rubbish especially a lot they would have gone out of buisness a long time ago, they have people who look after the breeders so they breed 1st class youngsters, for what ive seen on there site and was a young new starter i would definatly be buying off them. Also a lot of good fanciers birds come down from birds bought from louella.
