Won't catch many ferals, too streetwise... yes some just prehaps. Once a dive is missed, if it doesn't connect on the way up like, their basic speed is that same as a pigeons on the flat so to spea, but the ability and speed in a dive is awasome to say the least.

http://www.canadianracingpigeonunion.com/ Winnberg, self explanatry and does everything for the fancier, clubs and feds etc. etc. averages, and any other program you want to run. Good luck, and completely free!

I still say that a little Garden Lime in the drinker, shook up and left to settle has a great calming effect, and regardless of it's properties, I don't, - like many others that use it - for one moment believe that it attracts, let alone causes E. Coli, or oat else. I like to rub it into the wood too, give a sweet, fresh smell and I believe keeps their tubes cleanse too.

Paul, I strong recommend going to a Demolition site, have a chat, good season wood and tongue and groove, of many sorts.Floor boards. etc. etc. Frame up and divide into your sections Whilst laid out on the ground. Make the section and bolt to them. Simple really, but you will hammer and nail it, and say like I did... Well soon do the same again if need be. Good luck mucker.

Frank B. Told me of a few, a few more were / are posted on here, but Clover I never knew, so am learning ... keep the butter away from the pigeons lol. Seriously though that is good to know as I tend to see some on te lawn. Joyce's department of course, never touch it. But am very mindful of what Peat 'Her in doors' buys, year before last chemicalised stuff knocked me sideways big time, well till the end of THIS last season, did they take a hammering - thought that , as I paid, Joyce had bougt the usual, but was after saving a few bob, AND I never checked it out, but her few bob will cost her dear as the new stock has to be paid for, and that £20 will be coming out of her' purse!

No one, not even children, like to be classed as Children. Especially when one has raised families etc. Any curtail is frowned upon and leads to a downward path - whether one thinks they are doing what is best for the others and hence taking and making those decision for them and insults most peoples intelligence, and rights. Yes there are a couple of 'Rules' to be adhered to in what I propose, and that is mainly because evry so often you will get the person that can' take the heat, yet wants to dish it out, and hide behind the ethics and decorum set up by the Web site owners. It means simplly that if you want to debate great, if it gets a bit heated... fine, but when starting to boil, the conbatants, debaters etc. are asked to take it into the 'Ring' and square it of. Of course the topice is then THROWN into the Ring of the private section. The reason hence for the mods to curtail when one blatantly won't go in and continues to spout on the public sector. Hes has forfieted any credabilty and hence loses his right to have it posted on the public section in view of all and sundry. You will be suprise how popular it would be. It would, for the right or wrong reason attract many who just wish to be able to sound off and be told back. Many a good friendship will also aspire from it. and overall the whole website would be more popular... and those 'School Teacher's' intent on dictate just what and who can or should be allowed, either have to stand up for themselfs to be counted IN THE RING or belt up. The holier Hooray Henry brigade can still converse with sensible posters, and many will then automatically respect the 'public Sector'.

Most things are best left to run their course. Outside of bad languane, or personal insults to say a members family, it only brings in viewer / more posters and many benefit. Other than that have a 'Sluggers Corner' where one invites another to 'Come into a private discussion' part. Like Health, or Fancy Pigeons, there should be one headed 'Private debates' or the like. Also another pass word to enter it! Then no one could / or would / should be offended. If you don't wish to enter, or participate, then don't go in! The only job then for the Mods. would be to take off any replies that are aimed at getting support whilst on the still PUBLIC topics, and thoses that won't go, or take it into the private sector. Then they altermaticaly lose the right to reply on the public section ( where the problem may lie with those that don't want to see it, or members of their family or whatever where all and sundry can view. So basically the only right of reply would be out of sight from the general public. I'm a advocator of free speech. I honour the brave men that fought - and die - for the priveledge of being able to do so. And profaned comments then should be placed straight into the Priate sector for all and sundry, and any one who cares to see, to see.

Well I see the M & S adverts and applaud just what and how that P.R. Firm swung an ailing concern around to start making great profits again. It is estimated that a good P.R. firm on board would be less than £35,000… that about 74p per RPRA member a year! Not a day, week or even a month, but a year! You couldn’t even get half a pint for that. Yet all stay mum when it’s brought up. RPRA are frightened of the backlash from members saying garbage like ‘That's what Peter is paid for’! ‘There must be people in the sport capable of doing it’ etc. etc. – lay it any where but leave our pocket out of it! What and with our sport is dwindling! Ken Livingston’s P.R. firm makes monkey out of all and anything to do with pigeons! The RSPB laugh all the way to the bank through using hawks / pictures to raise vast amounts … for example from kindly ole folks donating to SEE the small birds in their gardens! And then the so called bodies that supposedly set up review bodies, and eminent people to look into it. Which take years to produce what we know, and what the RSPB feed them… Why, because they are represented on any and every review board. Farmers, Pigeon fanciers etc. aren’t! How very convenient eh! Just when are we ever going to make a stand? When is apathy going to be regarded as US BEING one of ‘THEM OTHERS’! Wake up each and everyone has a responsibility to be heard. Too many use the crap scenario of ‘Well I would … but them others…’! Codswallop each and every one that says that IS one of THEM OTHERS.

Doesn't matter a jot to me who he is. I couldn't careless if my life depended on it. What he posts, in reality, is what he is. Seems a tongue in cheek 'Wind Up' merchant to me... but I could be wrong ... I thought I was wrong once before, but that turned out to be a mistake lol. Now the crux of the mater is, one takes notice, or doesn't. He (She) either impresses or doesn't. We know or we don't, we doubt but then must leave a vestige that he (she) may just know, or be even a name, or a Plonker, but if the posts merit reading a second time, then everyone has the right personally to reply, agree, disagree, or bluntly ignore. For in reality SVR is no more than a 'Pen Name' obviously in this instance, So I personally would raise a single heart beat what he posts ... but it wil entice others to sit up and take note ... like a chicken scratching in the farmyard ... others come along lol.

Yes MsPigeon, Voilet, and the Clusters .. many threads also delve into them. There is evn a great thread that has Voilets with Double Clusters... but I have time to shift through hm ... But I can assure anyone that is nterested will find a wealth of info on nigh ALL the threads.

You say he never bothered with the eyes but i can definatly tell you that the best breeders had fantastic eyes and so do the best breeders in any strain. Just repeating Pete what the man... and his son and partner said!

You know the reality here is just a few moments of chat. When the driver knocks ask 'has he time for a cuppa... of course he hasn't, but the desture is nice' just mentoned - regardless when you actually boxed them - that you have just 'Boxed them'... and how long does he reckon it will take to get to ' PLACE NAME'.Then the destination is cleared up! Even if Drivers have to be changed. Don't say rubish like 'They ent been fed and watered of late etc. so the sooner the bettercrap etc.' as that implies that if you haven't bothered why the heck should he! The od time I have sent I usually get the same driver, and he really does know the crack. But ten we - others and I -speak to the fellow, he even tells e once the names of other 'Fanciers' he has took! So a bit of politeness may well work wonder... and that is hard for me lol.
-
Nice to remember that the real SVR never bothered with the eyes - like the majority don't - but whenever selecting or buying a bird he just held it in his hands. The feel and touch was enough!

Why thanks Birdman, and the same to you.

Well birdman, was a time when my brother, as a very young baby, was sent home from Great Ormond street hospital to die, as there was nothing they could do. He couldn't keep any nourishment down, milk etc. Was an hermit that lived in the wilds near Sidcup London that my father contacted as a last hope. This was 1946. The hermit told him that for 4/5 years just feed him Rhubard juice, and sometimes the odd stout. My mother enquired with the doctor as to his oppinion. His reply was startling 'Gypsies can cure a lot doctors can't'! The locals donated much Rhubard and preserved it for him. Needless to say the hermit was 100% right and Great Ormond street started using Rhubard. So I would never write anything off dismissively, even whether I thought the value was next to nothing. And nature puts the wise man to shame every day.... but I am not in the least convinced, and like you say, I look into much.

Yep Superstar, like Tammy you are spot on. I of course don't work for them either, but know well the time proven adage 'You can always do without Tom, Dick or Harry ... but how much better can you do with them'. Like I say up to a 100 miles I will more than likely take a spin out and see the sites and another's loft. But if not possible I have never had a second thought in dealing with Amtrax... Why should I! In reality the numbers sent and rceived are vast, and a very small number have problems ... Did hear though that it may well be due to uncivil attitudes to a person that has not got any control, and instead of relaying a simple directive, it is often challenging their I.Q. Sure there is concern no doubt when pigeons go astray, but a polite incentive often gets things sorted better and faster, and leaves both parties educated.

http://www.comanco-web.com/discuspro/ Read the great Bob Flemmings posting on Eyes, Violets / Clusters etc. etc. Such a shame he is no longer with us.... but has left a wealth of pure genius in the eyesign theory... after all that is juat what it exactly is, no more or less, ust a theory. But Bob must have come closer than any one with great nowledge in this field than just about anyone els. JMO,... AS I am not a believer!

Good to se you here William .. and I for one believe that to be the case... Pray answer e, how long does Xerek last till it has to be used? The reason being that though I have never had Y/B's sickness, I feel a sachet or two of Xerek may well be a must to have on theshelf.

They'll moan a lot more when Amtrax won't cater for yer ... And one must remember that Amtrax is a franchise, so most are own bosses etc.
