Belgrano!!! When was 'retreating a pluasible excuse for mass murder? :-/ :-/ Dazza.... Run a slither of reality past us then.... The cobblers you spout above is just copybook Thatcherism at it worse. Indeed she even hold the unique title os having a ISM.
-
Paulo, they didn't start the war... it was contried via her and Reagan to enable her to set up Stockades to protect the minerals / Gold / Wealththat have to pass the Ascention Island etc. the Argentinians did barter etc. etc. Further, then Why not protest more vigously against the Americans and their murdering 3000 Granadians because they wanted a stretegic point against Cummonism. Now that was 3 times more that the whole of the hibatians of the Falklanks put together! Loyal subject etc. that Fought with us, and which most of us had actually heard of!
-
I agree with single word of the above... and in the Geneva Convention, such acts as the sinking of the Belgrano was illegal... purely as A. Against the ethics and codes of War. B. Straight forward humanitarian reasons ... they were retreating outside of the Zone THATCHER had set up, and YES it was murder of very many inocent lives. maybe should have a court for her too... Mind only difference between her and Mugarbee is.... :-/ :-/ Oh yes she didn't as such murder her own... She left them to pay for her tyrrany.

Exactly.... and they sat back and took for granted what so many had given, fought for so they could! Simple one you all hear about the two peasants in a field... If you had Two houses could I have one... Answer 'Of course. then Two cars, two bikes till it is 6 chickens, then the answer is Hold on I'VE GOT six chickens, and away most go saying with smugness on face Exactly.... But you know, before the 60's THAT would have still been , OFcourse you could have one... for it happened time after time. Just who does one think got these rights as of a right regards employment? And just who put into place 'Tempory Contracts'!!! Yes the Evil one. And let's not forget the very essence of who caused so many strikes etc.!!! No not the workers, but managerment on owners say so... and WHY! Because when short time, or work was falling off, instead of paying a sensible agreed %tage of a wage, they caused the work force to take action and as such save themselves paying for the Shortfall of agreed employee's losses. Get real here, workers never wanted to be out striking willy nilly, or so called fame seeking, for the reality there was / isn't any gain or fame attached to it.... Just to save the bosses money!

ote ' ...I didn't know Winston had shares in Krupp no wonder he could afford them big cigars and the bottle of brandy a day he supped lol' Yep, that is why Hitler always thought that Britain would join him.... Did other deals during the war with him.... and after the war, all the good steel making machines, like from Stewart and Lyodds were shipped over to Germany. Yes possibly was the reaal reason the would be King deducted etc. Saw a photo, last year in fact, where all the Kings of Europe were put together. Our Germany Austria etc. and you know what all looked like brotherss!

12 Billion that could have, and should have been invested in 'Open Pits' forget the correct term, and saved job's, and better working conditions, that meant thousands more still putting £'s thousands into the Countries Coffers and not taking out to help Investors overseas. Better spent saving the silverware, than giving it away nigh so the Tax Payer bolstered private rackateering. Yes very well stated here. The strike had not been about wages, better conditions or any material gain. It had been waged on principle; the principle that miners jobs were held by each generation of workers in trust for those who would come after them, and must not be wantonly destroyed. The Tory Government had spent 12 billion of the nations money to try to defeat the National Union of Mineworkers. This they had failed to do; despite the fact that the NUM did not achieve its ultimate objective. The resolute stand of men and women over sixteen months marked a tremendous step forward in workers power and solidarity. This strike had set a new example in working class struggle, marking another milestone in a long road. It had been hard, bitter, painful, and as in 1926, there were those who said that never again would the British trade union movement see such a conflict. As in the aftermath of 1926, only time will tell.

We use to collect, donate etc. food, clothing and money for the miners... took most to Corby as they held a better linkage. Indeed Was about to place Train Lines from there to Loughborough / Coalville district to enable the 'Steelmenn' to have jobs in the 'Open' mining parts to be set up. Of course after Thatcher's and Co's Heavy investing in Korea, Taiwan, Brizil etc. the Steelworks were needed to close to get great gains on these investments. So the BEST steel in the world bar one ... but best when mixed with some Swedish ORE, WERE delibrately clobbered too by Thatcher. Now as for 'Scabs' I was peeved off at them... But 2 things always stick in my crull... One, regardless of 'Tax payers' money she was determine at all and any cost to swelter the coffers of her cronies. ... So was indeed and fruitless cause ... and Scargill was one of the best unionist of all time without a shadow of doubt ... and 2. Some are stronger mentally, physically and enable to go the course, whilst others seeing the philght of their loved ones suffering, just couldn't hack it! So then, as now, qand in retrospect I have to feel for the scabs, and allow some humanity to show them... unlike that evil *expletive removed*!

Paulo you speak sense. And as for the Demobb boys, and their compensation, it is the same today.../. get pittance after waiting and fighting for it over 2 - 3 years... The 'Gentreel' straight off. No Officers' wifes are kept waiting.
-
P.s. Johnny. That invasion was within 3 months of the Falklands fiasco.

Why!!!? Wasn't because they were 'Sovierenty of our Country' nor was it because they were devoted and loyal members of our 'Family' etc. as she proclaimed. It was in order that she could biuld a 'Fortress' to guard her cronies overseas investments of minerals.... Have to bring them out via Boats! But when the USA DID murder 3000 of our loyal and devoted brethern, who fought side by side with us in two world and other wars.... she never even made a deal of it... just stated 'I've sent a letter of Protes'! The Argies as you call them wewre set up to go in via Reagan... an excuse only! Streuth! Money and greed, and maggie was the Essence of it. Unfeeling and counted the 'Working man' on several occasions, even publically as 'No Account' and 'They'll have to ge over it'! syndrome. ;D ;D P.s. I don't like one iota what she did and / or stood for' incase you never noticed lol

Paulo, the Labour party are bad - Blair was bad... but nowt to Thatcher and her cronies... You know after the great Wall Street crash, in 1926 worldwide followed on – like now – for hard times. In 1929 THE President of the United States formed a committee of watchdogs! Joe Kennedy, whose aim was to regulate banks and to protect investor’s money, headed the main ones. After Winston’s Churchill and the Spencer’s family questionable money making investment in 1933 of Crupts in Germany in the making of ‘Warfare’ such as Tanks, guns etc. etc. – Speaks for it’s self… The Great Socialism government followed suit after the war. Watchdog put into place to oversee such practises, and also for protection of investors monies. To simply make sure that greed didn’t run away and set up needless hardships for the Tax payers, and bankruptcies… never needed in business really. So any dodgy deals were outlawed. Yes. obviously many were still done, under counter payments, inside trading etc. Never change that and will always remain so. Overseas investment were scrutinised… and Great Britain has always been in the top four – still is overseas investors in the world. BUT were refrained from stupidity via these watchdogs. Thatcher cleared the way – no need outside of greed – and removed any restraints, indeed encouraged ‘Free Enterprise and trading. Simply saying ‘Their money … must be right, … Well all of a sudden practices of - Like Hilary Clinton did – of giving folks that couldn’t afford it money … an investment that 2 years down the line went, bought back for a song, sold to mates at knock down of property say for instance at a far greater worth. Also just prior to here, as the USA with Clinton followed suit, one could give in the keys and lose their house… But the evil scheme was ‘You were still accountable for the interest on the loan… so 3 years down the line, house gone, many got these whopping bills… no house but bills that she’d made legally binding … only way out is bankruptcies. Then her court case still pending for ‘Arms Dealing’ she never go to court for it. Make the Council tenants Tory… sell them their’ houses at a knock down price… Money goes into government coffers, and councils not allowed investing it into building more houses. Put the interest rates, once was 18%. Throw them out of work… reclaim the houses at dirt priced ‘FIXED Auctions’ and her cliché of friends form ‘Housing’ whatever. The disastrous deeds are numerous! Sell the Big Gun to Iraq… Let A driver go prison for it ..John Chapman’ let out and then let ‘Spencer Churchill’ bosses take the rap and go prison… out on bail, case squashed… Maggie was charged! Full stop. Mark still at it, causing trouble in countries to enable the selling of arms… have to be a war, or can’t sell the Arms… ask Winston!

!100% agree, even stronger if dared. Real reason was ... as actually drew up in 1976 when she started to lead the s.... Then straight of, the local constabulary had 3 days a week 'Fighting' the Miner's training. Was also being detailed to fight and sort the Dockers out. Reason.... over sea’s investment for her cronies! Coal here to produce here was £26 a ton. Next best coal was Germany’s at £56 a ton. Their’ government subsidised their’ coal by 50% (£28) a ton. But ours needed £3 a ton to make smokeless. Hence £29 per ton! Simple answer was subsidising our coal, which was and is far superior in quality a £1 then further investment via the mining concerns in 'Open' mining. Far far cheaper and better than paying thousands of miners nearly £200 a week on the dole! So after all her cronies had these investments ib Brazil, Taiwan, etc. etc. and then selling our silverware to cover their greedy A. bums we as tax payers have to pick up the bills again. Gosh, for example sells out the British Rail for a pittance with the greasy lie of 'Competition make costs less' and we straight away pay more to subsidise them STILL do! Water. Gas, etc. etc. Then pay through the nose. As watchdog states, No need for a Cartel, only 50p a quarter in real term between the lot. Most Evil woman ever, Worse even than Winston Churchill and Baldwin.

caitlin, not doing this site or scottish distance men any favours spouting drivel, what satisfaction you hope to get from this is beyond myself and all the decent fanciers on this site, sensible posts please!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( Very true! Indeed the first thing any one with a halfpenny of sense is to look where their locations are. Further it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out you can't beat the wind... only harness the sails a mite SOMETIMES. So having read them posts, I thing the halpath is missing too!
-
John Wills then eh! Depends on what you want to pay too.... Louela is how a couple of them on the list started too, and have great families now.
-
Wind with east is no good for man or beast Fact! Many just send the odd ole cock or hen to keep them in the averages.... I never send till May, partly so I'm not in any 'Bird Losing' averages (Except Distance of course) and not to lose, knock the edge of th birds in an East wind. Won't even toss them.
-
Very True lenwadebob... and I guess always will be... well in my life time, or next 300 4000 years or so lol ;D ;D Yep I'm trying to live forever.... uptil now at least ain't doing too bad lol ;D ;D
-
That is ridiculous... Gosh keeping us back there I'm afraid. The days when they had to be a bit out are gone... Was for anti terroists and the threats of bombs etc. Gosh they have een capable of precision now for umpteen years. Time to wake up to the times I guess. Just look at Google earth and punch in you're cordinates... many are far far out! Leave mine as they are... Have 10 miles advantage lol ;) ;D ;D ;D No more that what is needed lol. ;D ;D

Mind, trouble is, if you are in a Cabin with 10,000 Rattle Snakes swarming down the Hill, and you are assured you will be safe as only 5% will bite.... you shut the Door don't you.... Likewise the police, there are some great cops, even brilliant, and most prety good I'd say.... and 5% to 10% Baalambs... hence spoil any public trust or confidence. Indeed most families, or friends know of some bad deeds relating to the police, so the door gets shut I'm afraid.... become an Evil neccesarety I'm afraid. Shame for the good cops too. But overall I, like most trust them because we have no choice... no alternative and the 5% of scum know it. Shame :B :B

Will be flying against the pair of you.... Need a EAST wind to be close... as you are over 100 miles to the East of me. Glad we aren't in your section now! That selfish ruling that put us in your section cost the NRCC umpteen flyers... was down to 7 and just 3 that bothered to fly it. So good luck to yer both.
-
Disagree, Latebreds are the best thing, and a boon to the fancy. Can't buy in at fraction of cost. Will turn out to be 80% of the time the main stay and best birds in the loft.... However, I agree one has to have the patience first year to wait the 18 months... then every year it gets easier.
-
Well 20 is twenty. But every bird sent means surely less overall costs. Never been worried about the Mobb Flyer.... the more the merrier, means my 6 or so go cheaper. Now what is the difference between 1 member sending say 80, and 10 members sending 8? I know, the Mob flyer' has more chance of have one on song! But these very ones that try to stop them being 'Raced' as to being sent (Costs the same as a Trainer, and the owner has to choose his best birds that week end) Aplaud and tally ho the very names that send 100 - 200 or more to a so called National! Some time less that 200 birds, and a 1/3 are sent between three flyers... and heralded as GREAT flyers! Yes these club die hards buy off them national mobb flyers and reverve them! No wonder thay are afraind of the keen youngster /* old boy that does his work and prepares birds for each race... and sends some as trainers for obvious reasons. I'd love all my club members to send 100 birds, golly 3000 birds nearly hitting our area.... and still getting clobbered in the Fed lol.

No Mucker, carry on, this ending covers exactly what you have, and what anyone else wishes to say. Mainly about Sport, andunderliningly Sportsmanship. Now the latter, regardless what any others bias line may be, it is recognised the world over Englands' sporting nature. Second to none, even bending over backwards to to fair, and also to help the underdogs.
-
Just keep them seperate and no youngsters... Some will put them together around beginning of June or so on a naturual basis. Many reckon they are at the best celibet. Reason of course not most popular is that many want, need s a round of younsters early on for their y/b racing. If a stock bird section is set up, or like me don't bother to race y/bs then it must be good. the June - August youngster can be lightly tossed (Even Raced if need be) and just a one perhap two 100 milers (150) next old bird season and the loft will be at it's best with them 18 months down the line. ure a few will be lost, of the top, or in the races, but then again so are a lot when bred in March - or even January. Read an article in this this rags about a flyer saying that that is the best way forward with the youngsters. Bred in the Purple and Raced in the Purple.

Concrete base is good if you have glass sheets 2 - 3 inches under the top. Should really be 8 inches or over too.
-
Have runners across about 8 inches of ground. Then wired off, so air vents around... and not much else gets underneath.
