Like I stated: 'I don't doubt, personally that Joshua can/could out box him... But what happens when he gets tagged? So it proved. Won't mention names, but there are many, very many great ;Champions' that had glass chins. But knew how to protect it! Likewise Heart, if lacked they never mixed it. Now that is/was a good thing for them. It never, nor shouldn't have distracted from the ability and savvy I believe. Maybr Josh has learned a very valuable lesson … beside £80 million an hour!
-
Should keep a eye on it. Even more so than a Twitchier. Why! Because the RSPB Cull them. Fact! Indeed most likely have!
-
But which one? You can get a new body … But Heart! Never. That won't happen even for the £60 million you will pick up. Maybe Josh has decided to give it a go.. win! The story and money continues. Lose! then that is a nice purse to settle down on and live a nice life. I don't doubt, personally that Joshua can/could out box him... But what happens when he gets tagged? Will he remember where the floor is and take an easy way out? I think if in charge and not hurt Josh will win … but if tagged, then that opens up another ball game. the chin and heart will give up!

Always sad when Fancier has to pack up, especially due to health reasons. Maybe he'll will visit etc. and take an interest just outside. Wish you both all the best. - Must say the birds do look the part. I have had many invitations to visit lofts, or watch them time in. Haven't yet. I feel I'm not strong enough to take on board.
-
As I've often posted Kyleakin Lofts, and with facts and truths and experiences, The pigeon fancy is, and are their own worst enemy. Short sighted and selfish apathy is well and truly dug in. the misbegotten notions of 'Only for themselves' and follow 'He who tickles ears' ETC. is jealously guarded to theirs's and the sport's detriment I'm afraid. Will say though the whinging and moaning - will be back this season big time though - did lessen. Maybe because of the embarrassment they had heard, seen and could have done or helped earlier was fresh in the memory. They WILL definitely be forgotten, I BELIEVE this coming season.
-
I think, any new change of worth, could, and should have been discussed well in the close season. Then an extraordinary meeting called if warranted. Smaller, the not so important per usual when corridor politics have made a few choices to be heard at the A.G.M. etc. Outing their chests so to speak. … nothing more mostly I fear.

Well has any new proposition been ventured in your club? Wouldn't venture fed.
-
If any one is interested I can send them a very good Feed and Feedings written by the best, including Names and Scientists etc. Mind it is 14 pages long, which one would maybe read through then again in parts to get the gist. It also asks and answers 'Can we save energy?
-
I think I took this off here. .. Maybe not. But I took time to do as follows for easy looking at. One can decide for themselves as to what to feed. Personally, not just for saving costs, I much prefer direct from FARMS. They certainly clean and shine as any feed bought from Corner suppliers and Bagged. That may not even be, often, as clean as from the farm. Any way here it is and I hope it helps some fanciers as to what they feel is best for them and their beloved friends, CEREAL CONTENTS BARLEY: PROTEIN: 12. 7 CARBOHYDRATES: 66.6 WATER: 10. 6 FIBRE: 5. 4 FAT: 1. 9 CANARY: PROTEIN: 14 .9 CARBOHYDRATES: 62.8 WATER: 8.8 FIBRE: 5. 55 FAT: 3.7 HEMP: PROTEIN: 18. 3 CARBOHYDRATES: 36. 2 WATER: 9.0 FIBRE: 14. 8 FAT: 32. 6 LINSEED: PROTEIN: 24. 2 CARBOHYDRATES: 28 . 4 WATER: 7. 2 FIBRE: 5.55 FAT: 36 . 5 MAIZE: PROTEIN: 8 . 9 CARBOHYDRATES: 68 . 9 WATER: 1.5 FIBRE: 2.0 FAT: 3. 9 MAPLES PEAS: PROTEIN: 22.5 CARBOHYDRATES: 59 . 1 WATER: 14 FIBRE: 5. 4 FAT: 0. 9 MILO: PROTEIN: 11. 3 CARBOHYDRATES: 71. 3 WATER: 10. 6 FIBRE: 2. 2 FAT: 2. 9 MILLIT SEED: PROTEIN: 11. 8 CARBOHYDRATES: 64. 7 WATER: 9. 1 FIBRE: 7. 8 FAT: 3. 3 OATS: PROTEIN: 12. 0 CARBOHYDRATES: 68. 3 WATER: 9. 8 FIBRE: 11. 0 FAT: 4. 6 PEANUTS: PROTEIN: 30. 2 CARBOHYDRATES: 11. 6 WATER: 5 .5 FIBRE: 2. 8 FAT: 47. 6 POP CORN: PROTEIN: 12. 1 CARBOHYDRATES: 69. 7 WATER: 11. 0 FIBRE: 2. 0 FAT: 5. 2 RICE UN - HULLED: PROTEIN: 7. 4 CARBOHYDRATES: 64. 3 WATER: 12 .0 FIBRE: 9. 3 FAT: 2. 6 RICE POLISHED: PROTEIN: 6. 7 CARBOHYDRATES: 79. 5 WATER: 12. 6 FIBRE: 1. 5 FAT: 0. 4 RAPESEED: PROTEIN: 19. 4 CARBOHYDRATES: 16. 4 WATER: 14. 0 FIBRE: 7. 8 FAT: 38. 5 SOYA BEAN: PROTEIN: 33, 2 CARBOHYDRATES: 34. 6 WATER: 10. 0 FIBRE: 4. 1 FAT: 17. 5 SAFFLOWER SEED: PROTEIN: 15. 6 CARBOHYDRATES: 16. 0 WATER: 5. 8 FIBRE: 31. 0 FAT: 31. 6 SUN FLOWER SEED: PROTEIN: 14. 2 CARBOHYDRATES: 42. 6 WATER: 7. 5 FIBRE: 28. 1 FAT: 32. 3 TIC BEAN: PROTEIN: 25. 4 CARBOHYDRATES: 53. 3 WATER: 14. 3 FIBRE: 7. 1 FAT: 1. 5 WHEAT: PROTEIN: 15. 2 CARBOHYDRATES: 70. 9 WATER: 10. 4 FIBRE: 2. 6 FAT: 1. 8 BUCK WHEAT: PROTEIN: 11. 3 CARBOHYDRATES: 69. 2 WATER: 14. 0 FIBRE: 14. 4 FAT: 2. 6 VETCH: PROTEIN: 20. 0 CARBOHYDRATES: 55. 8 WATER: 13. 2 FIBRE: 6. 0 FAT: 1. 7 LENTILS: PROTEIN: 25. 7 CARBOHYDRATES: 57. 5 WATER: 8. 4 FIBRE: 1. 7 FAT: 1. 0

Simple reality is at all ages pigeons are pigeons. Once the cup is brim-full then nothing can be added … just more work for the bodies. Protein is a must of Course. So Tic Beans at 25% - arguable, but high. Maples 22%. Either is a great basic stable diet for ALL an any aged pigeon. Fact is nature provides the very essentials and more. Indeed just fed all the year round is good and quite practical, in racing too. Especially at the distance and hard races. Other mixes added is best planned to being cost effective. Just a placebo for self requirement of doing the best for their loved birds. Small seed, wild or Canary are good conditioners, as is Linseed... once a week. Maize or a little hemp combats the cold some what .. and heats the blood for racing... etc. Milk, Egg yolk are a perceived choice that makes sense somewhat when rearing. But BASICALLY the basic is good protein bean or pea and the rest of what IS REQUIRED will be already there. Wheat and Barley are good basic feeds. Mixed to own desire, Add Beans or peas etc. and whatever, you will find the results the same. especially 'Hopper Fed'. J.M.O. thoughts and readings and experience.
-
Tic beans or Maple peas - or both. 70%. Then Wheat and Barley. Some times a little seed mixed. Yep, all from farm.
-
R.P.R.A Ruling is/or was that another member is lawfully bound to clock it in. However, with the E.T. don't know... but if can be done must be.
-
Let him clock in. He will be entitled to walking distance too. (Time) true, and the (Walking Time0 would allow as such any way.

The most famous was 'Starlight' the day the OF the King Brothers auction it £615. Bought by Louella. It was the world record! Sister Twilight fetched £400 odd. Gosh did I get a flea in the ear when I took it out the cage lol.
-
Credit where due, a fantastic pigeon that. A credit to the pigeons, the sport, and owner, and the scots eh! And to think we molley-Coddle (the youngster especially) spouting 200 miles is too far etc. All good pigeons, regardless what distance the owner prefers, have all come down from distance and hard day birds. Great to see the photo dunc50. Thanks

Well reminds me of school days and the 'Rub on smells lol … Summer vinegar against the sun burns, Goose fat against the Cold (when available. Stuck to the shirt- no vest in them days lol.
-
Fact is, as our Fed once did fly them together. They also passed that y/b's could fly with the old birds - raising money- The youngsters will show the older birds the way home. Though they could only enter and be counted on the last two come back races. The big laugh is/was 'I always put some hens in with the youngsters when first training the youngsters. … to show them the way home'! Forgetting to say showing the 'Hens' lol, Hence that idea was quickly forgotten, though still available!

Stupid. Full stop. Just another nail in the coffin of our sport. Against nature and just a ridiculous ploy by some silly people trying to get a march, or stupid enough to fear being left behind or missing out eh! Enough said via me. Me I'd still mate up Apri Have 2 rounds and fly the young bird programme with ease. J.M.O and accept every one has their own. Yes would have a late round in Autumn if needed... or to start flying / racing 18 months old or so. Bred in the pink. Good weather for sturdy growth. Before the moult set in! Seems now some will be breeding youngster to rear when the parents are combatting the moult which is essential to the birds and next season.

Lovely Walter. Great sense of humour there mate, and you mentioned my 'Tongue in Cheek' Mind how true! :002: lol :emoticon-0127-lipssealed:

I started a new topic to get away from the last as such ... Read some of the following. I've added a lot of my views which I believe. I feel this just about sums up the English and their' loss, and mine, in my opinion. England head coach Eddie Jones has had a blinding tournament and, tactically, has been excellent throughout. But on this occasion South Africa coach Rassie Erasmus was awesome. Wherever England attacked, the Springboks had a defence to smother it!. England's World Cup final defeat against South Africa was desperately disappointing. One must admit that. The way England have played at this World Cup and the depth of players we have as a group, this was probably and most likely the right squad to challenge for the trophy. It hurt to see Snickler go straight off though. England fans will all be feeling totally dejected but nowhere near as upset as the players and management will be. They were so far off winning that game. It is weird, though I feel dejected, it does not feel quite as bad as if South Africa had nicked it at the death with a last-minute penalty or drop-goal. I must admit England just were not good enough. I never felt for one minute that England was in a position to score points then run away with it. It was going to be a battle to the death, and unfortunately, the Springboks seemed to be more capable of winning a World Cup final. Reminds me of a few short years back when England supposedly had a fantastic defence etc. Clear favourites to win the six nations etc. Wales though hadn't read the same script. They turned out a hardened lot of old pros that batter and bruised and destroyed England! Many that day never got another game for England. Weren't tough enough to take a hit. This Squad is. Like Ashden sent in the final W.C. 2007. A team for the final against S. Africa. Yes, they tried and held their own, but just weren't good enough. England has learned a big lesson. Those players are going to remember that for the rest of their' lives and hopefully store it up to say they are never going to feel like that again, never going to make those mistakes under that sort of pressure again and they will come back as better players. Indeed that squad are all young enough to be at the next World Cup. Will take a good lad to prise a way to be good enough to get in. Will have to be a proven and robust player, that's for sure.

Cheers mate. Mind I've got a very good woman, and she's English! :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Walter swanston, Agreed, a mite tongue in cheek … but sadly also has so much truth. For instance, two of the my favourite boxers of my area were the brilliant Walter McGowen and Ken Buchanon Yet I cheered for Walter when he fought Rudkin, whom I happened to meet some times. Thought it was sad Walter had to move up a weight for decent money fights. I can go through very many Scots whom I 'Stood on chair' to speak cheering them on. Of late Our Miss Muir. The three Stewarts Ian, peter and Mary, family Superb! - (tongue in cheek - they were more English than Scottish( Ian MCCatherty! OLiz Mc and very many other. I will state here I have never ever seen or heard, any English man route against a Scot personally when facing another opponent. That is Truth! Nearest was of Andy Murry when many hoped he got beat for … Many countries, like Scotland and Wales etc. when facing England treat it as a 'Cup Final'! Now the truth is they Scots don't mingle well as a Team... 1978 and 1982 Scotland hand arguably the best football squad going. Certainly on paper... Didn't fare well. Yet often it's a Scot in the middle of the pitch that is the driving force. the player welding them together. Liz McColgan what a feat! and more. The English stand up and applauded. Gosh they have voted a few Scots 'Sports Personality of the Year' a few time, Yes even Andy Murry.- Maybe Andy has grown up, or is just sharp enough to keep his god shut. Here's an Interesting thing. Was in Berwick at the Papers office where the window was full in regards Sassenachs being English. Many Scot also state and believe that! Whereas the fact is that that in the Jacobite's up rising etc, it was the Campbells from the lowlands as a term of not good aimed at the Campbells and the Scottish lowlands. Now when put right the Scot will say 'Well the English are from the lowlands.

Lol, yeah, not good losing in the final … Mind a darn site better than not being able to get out the Group … I suppose being beaten by Japan was a Home Town Decision :egyptian: The bookies are having an extra month in Japan thanks to all the english punters that put there ££££ on … I presume you mean their instead of there eh! Feel you should have moved to Corby at an early age lol :emoticon-0136-giggle: P.s. The 'Bookies never left Britain.

Same again. Shame on you. Mind, golly the Japs certainly put paid to yooos lol Gosh, you cheer and sing about a 'Weed' and call it a Flower lol. Sing about William Wallace, who was but just above a knave and outlawed. He wasnae at the Stirling Bridge! It was Murry. Never heard regards Wallace till Blind Beggar wrote a nice little bit ... some say that Wallace did turn up at the end of the Stirling Bridge fracas. … Mind we made a great example of him lol. Never Beat 'Proud Edwards Army, Edward – the 'Hammer of the Scots' was in was away in Belgium fighting! Then it was only a 'Peacekeeping force' that overplayed its hand, would have sorted too if not being silly and going over a narrow bridge. Mind we do love you singing 'Flower of Scotland. It warms our cockles realising they the Scots have had nothing to sing about for over 800 years lol. A Scottish teacher at Corby - Corby is called 'Miniature Scotland' – was there a large one? -He summed it up a 'T' saying they came down from the Gorbals with nothing, absolutely nothing. We gave work! We gave them houses and homes. We gave them a welcome. Educated them or free. Etc. Etc. And they have the gall to call the English! Jealousy abounds, eh! Was working in a nice hotel in central London, April the 23rd. Was owned and run by a Scottish family. They invited and paid for two coach loads of Scottish family and friends down for that weekend. When the entertainment started, and the raising money for a charity. They ALL got up and left! They realised it was St, Georges day! Came back later that night to sleep and have a late drink! I'd have locked them out! Still, what does one expect when they believed such things as 'Pigeon burnt droppings' ashes rubbed into a bald head would make their hair grow. True, you couldn't make it up! Lol...
