  1. They're not returned to the fridge - the whole bottle is used
  2. I buy for the whole club. About 1500 doses a year sometimes more. It is co-ordinated so there is little waste, the young birds it's a bit trickier - but old birds - are all done in a week to 10 days - the whole club
  3. If it doesn't come in a cool pack you sure as hell know it hasn't been transported in the correct conditions.
  4. But it does say it needs to be stored at between 2°C and 8°C - until use - bring to room temperature So until it is used it needs to be between 2°C and 8°C - and that includes transporting https://www.hyperdrug.co.uk/Colombovac-PMV-Paramxyo-Pigeon-Vaccine-100-doses/productinfo/COL1/ taken from the hyperdrug site - scroll down the page to the following (they're out of stock - I phoned, no delivery date as yet) Store and transport refrigerated (2°C to 8°C). Do not freeze. Protect from light.
  5. Don't get paranoid - but may be helpful http://www.chevita.com/en/pigeons/symptoms/index.php
  6. How many 'pigeon' companies are sending these vaccines out - in the wrong condition - ie in uncontrolled temperatures I've ordered from on line vet pharmacies for a few years - and all have been sent with the cool packs - but I'm only getting a cool pack this time because I insisted on one Your vaccine could be ruined if not transported at the correct temperature
  7. it's on the instructions: Store and transport refrigerated (2°C to 8°C). Do not freeze. Protect from light
  8. So how many get their vaccine by post? How many are sent under the correct conditions? They need to be posted in a wrap - usually the foam - with pockets for a frozen freezer pack or two depending on how many you buy "The cold chain must be maintained during transport. Vaccines should be kept in an insulated cooler. Frozen ice packs or refrigerated packs should be used as needed to maintain the temperature between 35°F (2°C) and 45°F (7°C)." I have ordered from several places in the past few years - very rare I get free delivery despite placing orders of £200+ But today I ordered from somewhere else - over the phone and they took my money - then several hours later phoned me back and said it would have to be couriered because of the order value - at an additional cost of £5.89, it was packed ready to go but wouldn't be collected until tomorrow, delivered Wednesday. So I enquired as to whether it was packed with the freezer pack - to which she replied 'no'. I won't go into any more detail - but it is NOW going to be posted in the correct manner to maintain the refrigerated temperature. How many people get their vaccines sent by post - and it's not in a cooler pack? (Which is all wrong)
  9. Trimax 4 in 1 Contains: Ronidazole, Amprolium, Moxidectin. it therefore isn't for e-coli which is a bacterial infection. You need to get your birds tested
  10. Try Googling 'chinese pigeon 10000' and see what you come up with
  11. Can some one not copy it and put it up - haven't a clue what you're talking about!
  12. We personally don't, but we drop ours off at someone's allotment and he uses them on his vegetable patch. We get a few carrier bags of veg and rhubarb as thanks throughout the year and they are very tasty. I don't know if he uses them straightaway or stores them in a compost heap.
  13. We had about 40 rabbits in hutches in the yard when I was a small child - and I thought they were all pets - I've never knowingly eaten rabbit since
  14. Rabbit haemorrhagic disease and its variants (Lagoviruses) First recorded in China in 1984 - so not that new
  15. I don't think she ever left Roland
  16. My husband is a delivery driver. The one working today said he couldn't get in to work. About 8 miles South of us. So my husband has had to take his place and he's not home yet!

I'd say they didn't have a suitable replacement apply - so Mary agreed to stay on - reading between the lines like us women do
  20. Look on you tube 'banding older baby racing pigeons',there is a video made by Donspigeons which may help. He uses lipsyl ChapStick and rings two older pigeons one of which is a struggle but it's done!
  21. Brand spanking new loft 12 boxes for stock - new boxes (previously 8 boxes) 5 new stock birds (3 cocks plus a pair) We've got more empty eggs than full ones 2 of the new cocks didn't fill their eggs - and the new pair and new pairing with the remaining cock haven't even laid! Talk about banging your head against a brick wall Of course - the race loft - are all full and sitting and we've next to nothing to float to them! How long do you let them sit their empty eggs before throwing them and starting again?
  22. Who is MWys loft?
  23. 2073.94 ypm from 129 miles is my fastest (Don't have any races at 100 miles) But had a faster velocity last year from 319 miles!
  24. Blackpool needs to sort out its 'vagrants' problem. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, in sleeping bags in shop doorways at 6.30pm - p*ssing up a shop window which was still lit up Do I want to see that sort of thing - no I don't. Nor do I want to see beggars next to the banks 'hole in the wall' Did I feel safe? - No I didn't.....If I hadn't been with my husband - I wouldn't have gone out
  25. Sorry to hear. Hope he gets well soon.
