  1. We were first to clock in the club - but sadly we flew the overfly so were 9th club - as a consolation we were 2nd in the Fed breeder buyer winning £100 - velocity was 1285ypm - 9th club but only 8ypm behind the club winner - congrats columbo on guessing the nearest velocity
  2. ring likely issued direct to member report to nehu - you'll get owners details almost immediately to your e-mail address http://www.nehu.co.uk/reportstraynehu.asp
  3. I have 29/33 back at the moment I think I am one of the lucky ones as I don't think returns have been very good in the Up North Combine as a whole

  7. Redcar - 16 members sent 486 youngsters to the first young bird race of the season Bubwith 55 to 56 miles to all members
  8. I'll say 1389
  9. It's the first young bird race for team Hampson - Bubwith 55 miles to me. Can you guess the velocity of the first one back to the loft?
  10. I don't know - our transporter has broken down - I hope it's not an omen for the first young bird race
  11. Phone and ask we've only ever sent droppings in not swabs or you can e mail
  12. That's the vet I use for the pigeons.
  13. I think that's what I'll do, we can't continue to subsidise the club and be out of pocket each week, which reminds me - I haven't got my money back for the printer ink I paid for on Amazon!
  14. I forgot to say - my other half works as well, a tiring debilitating job as a home delivery driver
  15. The work of club secretaries is undervalued and particularly in my club, some of the members are awkward and bloody minded and create extra work. My club has 19 member lofts, my OH is secretary and does all the assigning of rings the results sheet, banks the money works out the pool money, pays it out.takes the result over to the fed secretary for the fed result(18 mile round trip) Organises the payout, the artists the catering the engraving of the trophies. The presentation - setting out the trophies, the speeches organising the guests to do the presentation. Buying the raffle prizes, guests thank you presents and flowers. Putting together the prize cards, points money, organising the AGM, speeches - it's never ending. My husband gets £50 for expenses (increased from £25 2 years ago) it doesn't even cover the petrol money to the fed. He gets abuse, there are those who will not pay on time, whether it's the subs, vaccination money, or race money - it's a full time job - for £50 a year - they're taking the p##s
  16. Happy Birthday Harry - hope you're feeling a lot better after your op xx
  17. Did you do the lottery Andy? It was 1234.279 to be exact
  18. UNC heldover at Ypres Poor visibility on the channel
  19. Can you guess the velocity for the first pigeon back for team Hampson this weekend from Ypres with the UNC I'll hazard a guess at 1460ypm
  20. I think you might be looking too far South. UNC are at Ypres this weekend and weather looks OK Saturday. Not as good in Scotland but France from Beauvais up over looks fine and Roye is short of Beauvais
  21. This is the e-mail address given on the belgian web site - breeder? club secretary - who knows - but might be worth a shot yvanvanloo@hotmail.com Otherwise, see if registered with the various unions, as has to be registered to race
  22. 42 youngsters - 3 training tosses so far - 100% returns though a few were next day first toss 1 missing off the loft from loft fly yesterday Currently 41 - way more than intended, they were darkies - but some down to 4 flights and others with full wing most will be raced the first few races - the majority will do the full programme if in good feather Two races still to go in old birds including today
  23. Up North Combine - Oakham Group 1 @ 8.00am Group 2 @ 8.20am Group 3 @ 8.40am
