Would like to thank all the fanciers who took the time to come along to our wee night in Bonnybridge last night which was one of the best. A big thank you to the excellent panel of Jock Alston and Jim Ohara who gave us a great insight to their national racing programme as well as helping present the trophies and also wee JIm for singing a few cracking songs in what was a relaxed and very enjoyable evening,well done Bonnybridge homing society.

Looking forward to catching up with some old pals the Morra night.

Thanks for the nice comments gents,her sire was 1st section 15th open SNFC gold cup Alencon 550mls and her dam was our good hen "ninety not out" who scored 4 times with the SNFC and also won the Kirkintilloch club from Salisbury being 4th open midland fed. Her sister "Mildred" won 4 x SNFC open positions for ourselves,she also has brothers and sisters that have scored at national level. The hen raced as a youngster and yearling but was then put to stock where in a short time she has bred birds to score with the SNFC including 2nd section SNFC for friend Derek McKinlay of Largs,looking forward to the next few years racing birds bred from the hen and at the moment things are looking good!! The above club will have their annual presentation/quiz night at Bonnybridge bowling club,drove loan FK4 1DW (300 yards from pigeon club) 7pm for 7.30pm. We will have as usual a top class panel with two of the best in the west!! JOCK ALSTON RAVENSTRUTHER AND JIM OHARA ALLANTON,who will give us their vast knowledge on racing pigeons,we also have a first class raffle and sports quiz and a fantastic buffet!! There will also be a small draft of youngsters on offer. Top top fancier for more years than I can remember,great distance team of birds looked after properly and no gimmicks,we were beaten into 2nd in this years gold cup race by davie and had great pleasure in shaking the mans hand at the SNFC presentation.
