got my two wee nestmate hens together at 8.31 2/2 this morning and chuffed to see them,302 miles flying to the perch and later youngsters (no darkies this year)these two have been clocked the last 4 races so will look forward to racing them as yearlings,again big well done to all the birds that have made it home.

Don't know about the back slapping vinnie but have been at plenty of young bird nationals over the years and this IMO opinion will be one of the better ones,as I said earlier hopefully there will be birds about in the morning! Ps the last few weeks fed racing at less distance have been not that good.

Think if you do a wee count vinnie there might be 30ish home which IMO is not bad at 300 miles into our section.

Great stuff davie and wee norman is in and without checking I think he might be leading davie for the section averages?

Well done to all basics members,also members of the lanarkshire social circle,as usual lets hope there are a few about in the morning. special mention for ma pal john bosworth who will be in the running for the national averages.

Sorry to hear this sad news about the loss of your father who was one of the very best, RIP Frank.

My dad's service will be Wednesday the 27th at 2pm at Daldowie crematorium and then back to milton of campsie bowling club for a wee refreshment and something too eat where it will be good to catch up.john hood Jnr.

Would just like to thank all the fanciers who have passed on there condolences with the loss of my dad,have had phone calls,texts visits and and messages from fanciers on basics which were read out from basics by my niece to all the members of the hood family and my mother and brother were overwhelmed with the regard my father was held in by fellow fanciers,I have just popped up to write this as I have been staying with my mum,I don't know how I and my family will recover from this but I know dad would want us to get on with it,at the moment the funeral looks like it will not be until next week,and I will post up when I have the date and times. Many many thanks from the hood family.

Our system is not that far away from Walters although we train them through the winter,have scored with latebreds in later life from most of the SNFC races up to 600 mls.
