thanks stuart,i have never seen so many birds working east on a sunday morning before small groups of 4 or 5 heading east all morning,spot on about doos making mistakes very hard to judge on racing at 60mph!!!!! think budgie is correct about the wing time and inexperience of the convoy,next week maybe will tell us more. ;)

you dont mean that budgie,you know that out of these missing 11 there will be 1 or 2 who will turn up and not make the same mistake again,myself missing 5 from 23,y/rling hen scored in last years snfc ybn 6 races last year 5 this year first mistake also 2nd bird snfc alencon 2008 missing,i will certainly be looking with hope for my missing doos. ;)

certainly poor we dont have anything to compare with our east coast cousins,when you think of the fanciers in the west who like a punt it would certainly cause a large amount of interest. rabbling on a bit here 25 years ago this week the forerunner to these races was the "scottish midweek specialist club"bruce grobbalar was acting daft in the liverpool goal while winning the european cup, the race was dorchester 370mls for yearlings clocked 5 in less than an hour from 6 sent preparation raced the previous sat from leyland 160mls,lot of talk with regards jumping yearlings if there fit they will come. ;) ;)ps some of birds scored snfc 500mls in later life. ;)

massive,massive loss to the lanarkshire fed,jim over the last few years has spoilt the members of the lanarkshire fed by making it common place to get 99% of the convoy home,remember controlling races with a fed racing to the west of scotland makes this an achievment in its self,jim as controller ticked all the boxes,this weekend being over cautious in many peoples eyes appears to be the catalist with which jim has felt that he must step down from his post,people with jims knowledge and skill in pigeondom do not grow on trees and remember the last guy who never made a mistake was nailed to a piece of wood.
