yes jock all for joint convoying,plenty of feds on the east coast if this is what fanciers want from scottish border right up to the north east,sorry but dont see the point for central scot feds. :)

opinions vary slinky wee bit of the green eyed monster here i think,dont know of many clubs in scotland that have both the history or prestige of the "LANARKSHIRE SOCIAL CIRCLE" and yes the gold cup is most definately that wee bit special!!!!! ;) :)

think the clue is in the title jock "east of scotland" think almond valley is central scotland based and dont really think this will benefit the a/v fed members, certainly not the ones at "the tail of the bank" ;)

newbury 9/10 eastbourne 4/8 alencon 1/4 ypres 3/4 and andrezel 1/2. makes 18/28,but still hopeful for returns from alencon. :-/ :-/

yes davie been good for the fanciers in the WEST so far and still 1 more too go, yes its good too see the lanarkshire fed going with the national even if its 10 years too late. :)

spoke to billy last night and was well chuffed with winning the section and added bonus of 3rd open,billy has been a smashing fancier for more years than i can remember and is now hitting the high spots at the nationals,dont know if people are aware that billy competed at the 1968 olympics at mexico city. :) ;)well done billy bilsland.

dont think anyone let down the scottish distance fanciers and some top times and performances,after recent hard racing hopefully the weekends nationals will have given fanciers some much needed confidence. :) :)

had a look in the homing world 26/06/09 joe murphy sporting challenge,quiet a few of the challengers on the official alencon result,we will have to wait and see. :) :) ;)

poor show delboy,i purchased a youngster from a top english national ace at a considerable cost and despite repeated requests for paperwork it has never arrived,this is not the first time this has happened to me having previously had to send youngsters back asap due to being substandard again an alleged ace fancier,too many people looking for quick and easy money and sometimes due to demand pound signs have made them blinkered,stay local delboy plenty of handy doos in your area and scotland. :) :)

budgie nail on the head,no names mentioned but close pal previous rennes winner has changed most of his bloodlines for types that will win at the inland races. :(

mentioned these birds in context of the bbc & bicc never mentioned reims.

yes stb i never expect anything other than a severe test at the gold cup race and again have flown in these races that have very few doos on the shift,i do think small convoys which are getting smaller every year are not the answer.

vincent you talk here about racing the biggest problem is that in scotland after the first few birds are clocked our birds are no longer racing they are homing,small convoys are not the answer,you mention the bbc & bicc these are top fanciers specialising in extreme distances but check out times and velocities some of these doos are homing after 3 or 4 days,racing at 500 -600 miles in scotland due to the small convoys our birds are no longer puttingt up the performances of the past IE DOOS ON THE SHIFT.

had a look at the result usual early birds making good times and vels then a quick drop in vels for most birds timed.well done to all that got birds.

just back from boness not too many there either,has been tough at the nationals and hopefully these races this w/end will restore a bit of a feel good factor,chin up budgie remember it could be you. :) :) ;)
