The season starts in mid April, the way that pigeon racing is organised and run is surely a grave risk of cross infection over marking stations.It is going to require thought and some hard and unpopular decisions made.We should get some guidance from the SHU

Ordered and paid for nest felts and loft floor whitener last week.They accepted my order and credit card.One day later they phoned to say loft whitener not available maybe end of month.I said OK send it when you have it then they wanted my credit card again for extra postagewhicI declined to give them.Not really impressed with Palllats.

How about some advice.I am soon into my 88th year and no longer able to participate in the training and racing of pigeons because of the customary difficulties associated with old age.Is it fair to others for me to continue my club membership when I cannot contribute asIused to do.

I note your observations Roland.Living in the beautiful part of south west Scotland I have been suitably impressed over many years by the numbers of English people who have.given us the enormous favour of coming to live amongst us.Usually after surviving the first winter they have taken on the enormous and onerous responsibility of showing us the error of our ways.They considerately point out the faults of our philosophers,poets,historians,novelists artiitects,sports people and town planners not mention pigeon planners.Unselfishly they loudly and with great determination points out to us where we have gone wrong over the centuries and offer to improve our lot.Yes Roland we are truly great full for the presence of the i our land.
