A Scots bishop thinks we should have a day off from COVID on Christmas Day just like Christmas 2014 Westminster bumbles and grunts as usual. There is no future in this union. I am envious of you guys and your well trained dogs.I am owned by an eight year old boxer who has made it her life’s work to faithfully patrol the place on the continuous lookout for cats about once every two hours from about 7am until 1am the next day .I have not seen a cat for years about here but she sees no reason to relax her vigilance.It usually takes about a week for her to cope with the clock change. happy days

I fully understand your position Delboy but a conventional AGM is not on.First of all it is difficult to imagine up to40 to 70 fanciers being so crazy asto congregate together in some village hall somewhere risking their health or their lives for the sake of pigeon racing and secondly such a meeting would attract the attendance of PoliceScotland stomping around taking names. Steven and Michael’s idea of some kind of postal vote offers the most obvious alternative but we all know fanciers who are never short of an opinion while others would rather be tortured by the Spanish Inquisition.

I am afraid to say I know guys who are genuinely good people and fine fanciers but they ain’t computer literate.

I am a member of another organisation (nothing to do with pigeons) ! have been informed that there will be no AGM this year but the financial situation of the organisation will be circulated to the membership and all the officials will remain in place standing for re election in Autumn 2021. I wonder how such an arrangement would work with pigeon federations and clubs I suspect it would not find favour with many fanciers on account of contentious matters such as racepoints etc. What do site members think considering that the alternative would seem to be some kind of distance voting system which would be cumbersome and contentious. What do site members think?
