Not a good day one young bird flew into the conservatory window and killed itself and one old bird back from training with both legs bleeding probably hit a wire it's finished for racing this year.However I will carry on regardless.I see Bill Speakman has retuned his VC to South Korea.I remember sitting in a Nissen hut in Wiltshire waiting to see if I was being sent to Korea ,this was August 1951, I was sent to the Middle East instead,at the time I was disappointed now I am relieved.

You need a USB to parallel cable to connect the laptop to the base unit but the parallel port on the printer connects directly to the wide parallel inlet on the top of the base I it along from the on/off switch.

Brother hl5240l will do the job adequately,£35 on e bay.If you are talking about the cable that joins the parallel port on the printer to the Unikon club base unit I think you will have to go to Unikon for that.

There is an excellent letter in the Herald this morning from a Glasgow man who lost all the small birds he had attracted to his garden through the predations of a sparrow hawk.He complained to the RSPB and after receiving no help terminated his membership.Very refreshing to read this sort of positive publicity.

I bought six good looking young pigeons at a sale last weekend because I liked the appearance of them. I had misgivings because I thought they were about 10 to 14 days too old and would be hard to settle.Now they are enthusiastically bouncing about in the aviary desperate to fly out I fear that when liberated it will be goodbye.You would think at my age I should know better.Will I never learn!!

I have used the same base unit for both race marking sand getting results in different premises stripping down and setting up again every Friday and Saturday for about ten years with no problem so far.I do not know if I am 100 per cent correct in this but I thought the club base unit and ring marker were on permanent loan from Unikokn.
