robbiedoo. replied to Blue Tooner's topic in Clubs/Organisations Topics & Events
stuart as you know i just joined the west end club a couple of year ago and i organised the clubs first presentation night for years last year . some members were smear kind at the idea but went anyway and had a cracking night . all we had was a room to our selves for our meal .there was 22 of us including the women and yours george taylor presenting the trophies .i,m sure our members will be looking forward to it again this year again with george presenting the trophies .once you get it off the ground they will have it every year . good luck pal :emoticon-0157-sun: -
I THOUGHT I WOULD LET YOU ALL KNOW THAT A CHEQUE FOR 2 THOUSAND 7 HUNDRED AND 87 POUNDS WAS WAS RECEIVED AND PUT INTO OLIVA,S APPEAL FUND ACCOUNT A COUPLE OF MONTH AGO . HER MAM AND DAD ARE VERY OVER WHELMED AND GRATEFUL TO ALL WHO HELPED THIS CAUSE . THE REASON I TOOK SO LONG TO POST IS CAUSE I WAS WAITING FOR A CHANCE TO PRESENT OLIVIA AND HER PARENTS WITH THE CHEQUE . OLIVIA HAS,NT BEEN KEEPING TO GOOD LATELY AND HAS BEEN IN HOSPITAL AND GOT HOME FOR THE WEEKEND SO HER MAM AND DAD TOOK HER UP TO MY HOUSE YESTERDAY AND I GOT MY PHOTO TAKEN PRESENTING THE CHEQUE TO OLIVIA AND HER DAD WITH OLIVIA HOLDING A LITTLE YOUNGSTER WHICH I WILL HOPEFULLY GET PUT UP ON HERE TOMORROW . HER MAM AND DAD TOLD ME TO THANK YOU,SE ALL ITS MOST APPRECIATED . I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK THE FIFER FOR ALLOWING ME TO HAVE THE SALE TO ALL WHO DONATED AND BOUGHT YOUNGSTERS AND A SPECIAL THANKS TO IAN MCKAY FOR RUNNING IT A JOB WELL DONE . derek you know quality will always beat quantity . me am still learning :cry-blow:
-
i honestly could,nt agree more with you but i am just curious as to where the most open tickets have been won north or west
-
does that include the guys up in elgin -inverness and places like that and by the way not one person has answered my question wonder why . i will tell you the top fanceirs in either section will get their doos the rest of us live in hope and imo its harder up here and there has been more open tickets won in the west compared to up here :egyptian: :egyptian:
-
good question some fantastic fanceirs there <_<
-
the 1st doo in the north section last year was up in elgin but the guys clocked mucked up . so as far as national racing goes its defo harder up here in the north .out of curiousity how far from the east coast is glasgow cause we have guys up here thats 70 - 80 mile from it and you never hear a cheap from them they just enjoy there doos for what they are
-
depends if your after distance :emoticon-0136-giggle: :emoticon-0136-giggle:

i am just curious as to where the most open tickets have been won with the SNFC in the last few year would it be in the Mighty North Section or the west section as i feel sorry for all the whingers in the west moaning all the time . i for 1 think its harder in the north than it is in the wild west as distance kills .i think theres been more tickets won in the west :egyptian: :scotland:

by what i,ve heard there is good returns i have 1 home fae 2 sent .1 of my club mates has 4 hame fae 4 sent

i,m feeeding my old doos bamford,s super moulting . -
i know for a fact alan has paid a small fortune for these pigeons . i would say alan,s loss would be someone else,s gain :emoticon-0167-beer:
-
i was expecting the north boys to do better aswell in the open result but in saying that they had a 220 mile of a jump :emoticon-0138-thinking:
-
john as you know the wind plays a massive part there was only 4 open tickets won inthe north section . lets just enjoy our doos and hope and pray our day comes :scotland:

i think most of them will be in the pens on sunday doug
-
ally am sure Robert Barclay,s youngster is bred from the doo he topped the fed from hastings with this year but will comfirm it the morin . only 3 doos donated fae the broch shocking and the guys that did,nt donate would be the first to moan if there was a increase in the birdage or fed fees .like they say same old faces donating and buying annoy,s me it does
-
here is breif details of the latebred i,m donating to the sale . its bred from my good travine rigole hen that is very reliable as a timer when the racing gets down the road a bit .in 2010 she was 9th fed newark 321 mile 16th fed leicester 353 mile and 4th fed hastings 483 mile . in 2011 she was 9th fed newark 321 mile and 13th fed hastings 483 mile i was going to send her to one of the nationals but decided to race her in the fed instead (chasing the averages). her offspring this year topped the fed from consett for me and had other fed tickets so she is breeding good doos aswell . good luck with the sale ally i wont make up to Banff am working :o :o
-
i know i for one wont be sending .they are only youngsters for 2 to 3 month then there your old ones .there is a few of the older fanceirs up here that reckon it ruins the doo sending them to the ybn 350 plus mile but each to their own and good luck to all that sends :scotland: :scotland:
-
dont think there will be much doos sent to the ybn fae the north o scotland fed we have a 220-230 mile jump and we never had a race last week :(
