hjaltland i lost a youngster off the loft in june 05 untrained she appeared back in march 06 so i trained her in april with my old birds and put her on the road expecting to lose her she ended up winning me pigeon on the result most trophy in the club .just lost her last year but she did put up some good performances in . my advice to you would be just race her you,ve nothing to lose .

jimmy i,m the same as yourself i train other fanciers birds along with my own .i also do the same with my old birds on basketing night . :X :X

yes jimmy i know what you mean when i train my young i nearly always put a drinker on the side of the basket i also chuck in a few handful of small seeds in to them to learn them there always left for 10-15 minutes before letting them go also i,m sure walter would agree my youngsters are never scared or jumpy going in to the race basket and i dont lose anymore than anybody else . ;)

the first time my youngsters see a basket is there first training toss dose,nt do them no harm .

i work at st fergus and there rife very near every time you look up to the sky you expect to see a hawk or falcon there seems to be getting more and more .think about our birds flying 10 -12 hours getting tired mr peregrine about 150 up a flare stack just waiting easy targets sad but true. :(

stuart he my fave always the first doo i look for when i go into the loft .cant imagine him not being there and were about 4 month away from channel races . like they say if you dont put your best dont bother putting if you lose them your sick as a pig .hope you have a good one yourself from across the water im sure you will again.

i have a woodcraft trap on my young bird section and a petron one on my old bird section . i just cant understand why people wont let all this ets traps stuff go to bed .the bottom line is no bird no time in no matter what timing system you use.
