im going to try the channel this year i dont know if my birds will do it but ill give it my best shot . i would prefer early lib but at the end of the day you cant deafet nature you have to give the doos the best possible chance of getting home as everybody knows good 600mile doos dont come 2 a penny.youve got to do whats right for them weather wise but i do agree the earlier the better.im not into polotics just the love of the game for me thankfully

in 12 years of racing ive had one bird fly in the dark i timed in from hastings our furthest race 483 mile at 7 minutes past 12 at night winning 1st club the second club bird was timed in at 2.30am both with ets thats the only time in 12 year ive a bird fly in the dark so it shows you how few and far between dark doos are

know a guy up here who is very strict with his feeding realy good flyer up to 200mile after that never heard of proof is in the pudding

i think what walter means is if the birds are liberated 5am we up north have a chance of getting a day bird as well as the guys in the borders where as if the lib time was 9am we would have no chance of 1 on the day.a midday lib would also more or less the same as 5am lib its putting everybody on even keel making it a fair national good point

sad when you think about it is it at the end of the day its just a hobby if you didnt love your birds so much the sport would be finished with the way some people carry on just cant understand some people.

you would think you coming into the club would be good for themselves aswell by using you as motovation to try harder to beat you at the same time making themselves better flyers . i wander how the members would feel about themselve reading all the support your getting here pretty sad i would hope . good luck.

hope u get your 40 for charity ian good on you good luck it dosent matter what way you look at it is a gain gain for pigeon racing in general.how much do you need for the 40 for charity as i will see if i can get some of the boys from work ropped in to it .

ive entered a pigeon in ian mckay;s 1 loft race for the westfeild school in fraserburgh.when i spoke to the headmaster about this she was delighted ian is going to send emails to the school about their pigeon and how it is performing on aweekly basis not sure if he is setting up a website about it or not any way the kids will be well informed ive also agreed to either take abasket of pigeons over to the school and do a little talk about them.and maybe take some interested kids over to my loft and show them the pigeons in there nests and do a little Q@A about them

u could use this race for some publicity as well . the reason why ypres was picked as a racepoint stuff like that.

i dont know but i think mr mckay is the best thing that has happenead to aberdeen fed a real good all for the doos at heart gentleman . anyway im sure i was £56.50 last season for club @ fed fees plus 60 rings in north of scotland .we are 25p a bird up to 320 mie 40p 360 mile then 50p hastings 483mile our longest inland race really cheap but you still get people moaning me personaly you cant put a price on seeing your doos coming homing home

had my hens out for a fly yesterday had 1 come back with half its wing missing and lost a 3 year old hen obviously hawked just wandering if anybody else is getting bother im sick

in 2009 im going to try the distance spoke to a few fanciers about this myself and got the opinion that if its got the blood the heart and the health your more than half way there no matter what system u work . me im going to put them 600 mile on natural and roundabout to see what system works for me personally if any its all trial and error as what works for me might not for you.

go to local pigeon club help out get to know some fanciers im sure they`d help with gift birds also go to fed squeaker sale pick up a bargain there thats what i would do.

i thought we were all supposed to be doo men =good men always there ready to help one another not arguing and carrying on like a bunch of old wifees . chill oot guys and think what were all about pigeons realy is it bring back some humour .
