    yearlings

albear no offence taken but the thread was about how far you send your yearlings and results on which i replied to with my birds . also i do live in the north of scotland maybe the reason i fly in the north of scotland fed as for hawks i know of one local fanceir up here thats lost 16 pigeons to the hawks this year alone . i also agree with you that the west guys have it hard with the prevailing west winds but as for pigeons having to fly the last 50 to 100 mile on there own check the snfc results website and you,ll notice the guys in the north section, birds have to do the same .

    yearlings

i send my yearlings to hastings our longest race 483 mile i,ve been fortunate to win it 3 times out of the last 5 years each time with a yearling . i dont think i would send 1 across the channel its hard enough getting a old bird to do it .
  9. magic night roll on next year . well done to stuart for winning it and to joe for making it all happen . got to my bed a 4 in the morning bad influances that undertakers . ;D
  10. i was first fed 2nd section snfc eastbourne 489 this year. also won hastings 3 times out of the last 5 year 483 mile each time with a yearling . hoping to crack the channel next well praying.
  11. i,m the youngest in my club at 40 there is 3 or 4 in there 50s and the rest are 60 plus ers . hopefuly getting 2 new members 1 at 30 and the other at about 45 .
  12. agree with blaz proberly the best looking pigeons i,ve seen on here very smart . how they do the biusness for you alan if not i,m always here . . what sort of distance do these fly .
  13. 66
  14. ian will you put in westfeild school , fraserburgh , thanks robbie.
  15. where about in edinburgh is the show being held and is there anyone from the north of scotland . the reason i,m asking is i,m going to joe murphy,s sporting challenge night out on the friday and was thinking of going to the show on the saturday if i can get a lift back up the road .
  16. i would if i had something to collect .
  17. the best is jim donaldson nobody near him race after race year after year he still gets them . most fanciers hope for one home he expects and gets them amazing fancier at long distance racing .
  18. jade my bird was,nt good enough well it was the first one in the north of scotland fed 489 mile about a 100 up the road from dundee so get a grip.
  19. if the inverness doos go up the east coast when they hit fraserburgh they have to dog leg 100 west
  20. a lot of people go on about the west of scotland being a bad location but what about the fanciers up in inverness , orkney or lerwick funny thing is these guys never seem to moan about it . :-/
  21. im all for that aswell you would think that most fanciers would like that bit extra . as regards leige and lille why not go back my moto if its not broken dont fix it .
  22. walter i agree with you about eastbourne being a sprint for some but its 489 mile to me . also the leige race was a good race as the late george ritchie proved do you know the reason we never went back after having good racing from there im sure its 570 mile to me.
  23. thought you were talking about a couple of year ago when aberdeen went with us . your showing youre age now the combine was before my time but i would love it if it started again.
  24. alan i think it was the aberdeen fed that pulled out we should be flying together imo . davie we have 3 fed races above the 320 mile mark .
  25. must agree with walter on this one newbury is a sprint for the south lads through no fault of theres . this year from eastbourne i was 2nd section but not on the open result its to easy of racing for the south lads not enough distance also last year walter got 1 from eastbourne at 9 at night i think and i could be wrong but didnt get a ticket . i thought when we talk about national racing your testing your birds against the best at distance with the inland newbury especialy its not happening so we maybe should look into coupling up with the snrpc .
