  1. Dont know where your looking but the wind at Portsmouth on Saturday are E.SSE OR ENE, tis on the XC weather I,m looking at.

  3. What sort of distances do you compete at.
  4. Anyone recognise this ring,its a clear plastic one similar to the RPRA rings with a paper insert which as a GB flag on it and the letters and numbers, G.O.F.T.S 098 also 2014 and a small picture of a pigeon.
  5. Paying up front as always been good for the big team fanciers,but for anyone with only a few birds or one that sends in only a few races it makes it very expensive.
  6. N rings are usually allocated to the National Flying Club,Z rings to the Midland National Flying Club,once allocated to the members of these clubs the secretaries then inform the RPRA to whom they have been allocated to.
  7. Your heading says Channel/Distance birds I would not class 3/400 mile birds in that catagory 5/6/700 mile birds are what I would describa as distance.

I have witnessed birds being liberated from the same transporter at the same liberation point and I can tell you the birds left on the transporter go absolutely crazy ie.banging against the crates or baskets trying to get out,I would think that if they had enough time etc to settle down again at a different lib point they would be o.k.
  9. Its not listed in the addresses of any of the British or Overseas organisations that the RPRA have in their ring list,could be a private ring.
  10. Today is the final race for the yearlings in the RPRA 1Loft, they are presently up at Perth 308 miles waiting for the weather to improve a bit,best of luck to anyone on here who still as birds in the race,our syndicate have 2 left in the final here,s hoping.
